Sustainability's hidden gem - Edit
I was thrilled to find this shop! The friendly and knowledgeable owners provide eco-friendly ways of buying products by providing a refill service for your eco-friendly household and toiletry powders, lotions and potions, as well as dried foodstuffs (such as nuts, pulses, cereals, dried and crystallised fruits, pasta, snacks), baking ingredients (including gluten free), cooking oils and vinegars, herbs and spices. Nutritional yeast flakes can also be purchased here.
Read moreSimply take a container to the counter to be weighed, help yourself to the produce of choice to fill that container, then weigh it again just before purchase. Some products are pre-wrapped, but not with plastic packaging. Local suppliers are favoured.
If you don’t have a container to hand, there are usually either donations of empty containers to re-use, or else containers are available to purchase.
The range is being extended gradually; loose leaf tea and skin toner were the newest arrivals when I last visited at the beginning of November 2023.
