Yummy!

Quality quality quality! Great food, had a killer drink “Our French” and was craving everything I just ate right after. Worth the drive for us! Make reservations, other options in the area are almost non existent.

Pros: Quality ingredients , Creative, Beautiful view

Cons: Need more vegan options, Need more vegan options, Need more vegan options

Mostly very good

Three of us had a good dinner at Newagen. The cauliflower curry was quite good, the pea ravioli dish was good and interesting but rather bland. Two of us found the roasted vegetable gazpacho had too much red pepper for our taste. We’d prefer tasting the vegetables over the red pepper. But our son liked it spicy. I don’t think there were any vegan desserts, but our choices were excellent — a crème brûlée and a luscious strawberry rhubarb dish like a mousse, topped with pistachio ice cream. The setting is gorgeous and we were happy to find that Newagen Resort is offering and listing vegetarian and vegan dishes., all too rare in this area. We will definitely return for special occasions.

Pros: Vegan options labeled on menu, Lovely setting, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive, Some bland dishes

delicious, specially-made entrees

I have eaten dinner twice at Newagen, and each time has been a fantastic experience. We stopped in one evening expecting only a drink, but in explaining that I was vegan, the host and bartender excitedly explained that the chef loved to cook vegetarian dishes and could easily cook vegan. The chef came to our table and discussed vegan options, and prepared a delectable entree with polenta, lots of vegetables, and a coconut curry sauce. We did not call ahead for our second visit, and the same chef created another incredible vegetable and whole grain meal with coconut milk sauce. I also ordered a salad off the menu, omitting the cheese, which had nuts on it. The only downside to the meals at Newagen was that there was no vegan protein, but knowing that ahead of time I will be returning to eat at Newagen as much as possible while in the area. The location, seaside setting, and indoor ambiance of Newagen makes for my favorite dinner destination in the Boothbay region.

Pros: excellent ambiance and location, delectable vegan creations, friendly and accommodating service

Cons: no vegan menu items
