Basic and tasty

Small restaurant with just 2-3 tables and a one page menu. A few Western options and the rest Cambodian/Asian. I had a noodle soup in red broth with lots of mushrooms and a steamed bun with mushroom stuffing. Both were delicious and filling. Prices are very affordable. Opening hours are a bit hectic per other reviewers here and per my own experience trying to come for lunch today only to find the place closed. I’m glad I came back for dinner, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Lovely family run restaurant

Had really nice simple Cambodian dishes. Seyha was very friendly and helpful regarding choosing food and things to do around the city.

The soipao bun was amazing as was the tofu laklok.

His daughter was also very adorable, teaching us some Cambodian words for the animals in her school book.

Would recommend.

Lovely wholesome food!

I ordered a noodle soup with mushrooms and it was so delicious and tasty. Clearly made with love. The man who owns the place had a really sweet daughter and while I waited for my food we were just playing and singing and her dad played a song on the guitar for me. So cute!!

Delicious, wholesome, and heart-warming veg*n fare!

We had a wonderful breakfast at New Start Vegetarian Food and especially loved the Khmer pumpkin noodle soup - it was rich, comforting, and full of flavour, with perfectly cooked noodles and a lovely balance of spices. The pumpkin added a natural sweetness and creaminess that made the dish feel both nourishing and satisfying.
This place has a warm, friendly vibe and feels like a true hidden gem in Siem Reap. The menu is simple but thoughtful, and the food we tried was clearly made with care and fresh ingredients. It’s a great spot to enjoy traditional Cambodian flavours with a veg*n twist, and the owners and staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our meal.
Highly recommend this restaurant to fellow vegetarians, vegans, and anyone looking for a flavourful, plant-based meal while exploring the city.

Delicious food, friendly family

Family run vegetarian restaurant in Siem Reap with a mix of local and international dishes. The menu was small but everything we tried was excellent, including some of the best spring rolls I’ve ever had, tofu luklak, and a vegan bao. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu items that we didn’t have the chance to taste this time.

Pros: Tasty dishes, Friendly, English speaking owners, Relaxed environment

I wish there were more items in the menu

Despite the menu being small, I liked what I tried and recommend the rice noodle mushroom soup. The restaurant is owned by a couple and the wife was the one who cooked for us. She was super sweet and spoke English fluently. She said her husband is vegan.
