New Horizon Cafe
Serves meat, vegan options available. Small cafe with Arabic and Mediterranean food. Most dishes are vegan, though they are only marked as vegetarian. Vegan options include several mixed plates, pita bread sandwiches served with a tahini salad, falafels, baba ganoush, hummus, samosas, baklavas and Turkish coffee. A pita sandwich is about £3, a mixed plate £4.50. Open Mon-Sun Until 9pm.

Interesting and creative - Edit
The “Vegan” sign on the window drew us in and the very friendly owner told us about some interesting vegan options so we decided to have dinner there. The mixed platter was delicious and had quite a few things I had never tried before. I don’t even know what they were called, but one was a kind of potato salad, another was some kind of pickled salad, plus there was lettuce, falafel, hummus, babaganoush, and more. It was great! We also had a dish, whose name I’m forgetting, but it had rice with very flavorful chickpeas in sauce. It was also really good. The owner said the menu changes daily.
Pros: Cheap, Friendly staff, Good variety

Sunny, laid back, friendly, cheap - Edit
Open Sundays, unlike all three veggie cafes in Exeter. Falafel and houmous sort of place. Staff are friendly and know what has dairy in and what doesn't.

Small and perfectly formed - Edit
The New Horizon Cafe is a very multicultural cafe, heavily influenced from the middle east, and has a laid back, friendly atmosphere. Very much a communal space the cafe has computers and long opening hours, offering a range of take away and eat in food. Not everything is vegetarian but the staff are very helpful and vegetarian dishes are labelled (although vegan are not). The food is cheap, quick and good value for money, recommended.
Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly, Multicultural
Cons: Inexpensive, Some dishes may run out
