Truly the best vegan burger I've ever had. They had a vegan supreme pizza so I had to get that too!! Delicious, will be back again!

A Flagship Grand Rapids Brewery

Even though New Holland is technically a Holland brewery, Grand Rapids has adopted it as one of its own flagship breweries.

The restaurant is spacious and cavernous. There is a gift shop, upstairs banquet hall, exterior beer garden, and multiple bars spread throughout. It is a great spot to bring a group and hang out.

As far as food goes, the choices are limited. I recommend the vegan pizza. They have a house-made tofu sausage that is uniquely savory sweet.

The highlight is the dragon’s milk and all its derivatives. Having become intertwined in the local Grand Rapids jargon, dragon’s milk is a bourbon barrel-aged beer. And it has become the standard for a reason in a city with a lot of beer competition. The original dragon’s milk is vegan; however, there are many seasonal varieties that may not always be vegan, so keep that in mind.

New Holland is a choice that I would bring my non-vegan family to and have a good time.

Fun!

I was visiting a non-vegan friend in GR and we both enjoyed New Holland Brewing. Our waitress was very nice and let us have free tastes of multiple beers. My friend and I hadn't seen each other in a few years and the waitress gave us lots of time to chat with our beers until we were ready to order. I got the black bean burger. It was very good! Crispier than I imagined and the veganaise sealed the deal! Would definitely get the burger again if I was in the area.

Pros: BEER

Cons: Not too many options

EXCELLENT vegan pizza!!

I was hesitant to come here because they've taken a lot of vegan options off of their menu due to COVID, but it's WORTH IT. I was shocked at how good the vegan pizza was. They make their own version of 'sausage' with tofu, and personally, I don't really like a lot of meat substitutes so I thought it was absolutely delicious. High recommend!

Pros: Great vegan pizza

Cons: Not many vegan options as of recent

Decent Options

A great place to grab a drink with non or vegan friends! We all know how hard it is to eat with non-vegan friends but this place makes it super easy which I greatly appreciate! I’ve had the hummus, beyond burger and vegan pizza a few times and it’s always good.
