Would give 5 stars if I could!! - Edit
This place is awesome! 5/5 stars for sure!!!! Rating based on Price/Proportions, Taste, Speed, Atmosphere, Service this placed scores a point on each and a bonus point for the variety in their menu! The building is a bit older but I don't mind at all it reminds me of the Chinese restaurants I would go when I was younger. The server was super nice and welcoming and helpful with any questions I had about the menu. My party ordered Sweet and Sour Tofu, General TSO's Tofu, Vegetable Lo Mein, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and vegetable dumplings which were all vegan friendly! My friends also ordered Egg Drop soup which is not vegan friendly but is vegetarian. The hot and sour soup is vegetarian as well because it has egg. Everything we go was super good 10/10. I got the Mongolian "beef" to go which is so good too! Everything in their tofu/vegetable area of the menu is vegan. Fast service as well.
Pros: Price/Proportions, Fast and Friendly Service , Unique Vegan/Vegetarian Menu Items
Cons: None!!!

Delicious Sweet and sour tofu! - Edit
Wasn't to expensive. $10 for the meal and an order of spring rolls (also vegan) plenty of options. Great find in a city were vegan is a bit of a foreign concept.
Pros: Several options. , Didn’t take long

Good Food and Service - Edit
We came in with 8 people at 7:30 on a Saturday and were seated promptly, there were no problems with service or with any of our orders. They gladly clarified what was and wasn't vegan for us. All of the food was great and the price was very reasonable. Park on 10th street to avoid paying the meters, worth the short walk
Pros: Good Service, Not Too Busy, Good Atmosphere
Cons: Parking

Basic, but solid option in a vegan wasteland... - Edit
The vegan pickins are slim in Birmingham. New Chinatown has a decent sized menu of very affordable vegan options. The owner knew the word vegan! Several of the dishes offered medium and large options - the medium is enough for one person or get a couple of mediums if sharing.
Pros: Cheap

Best Restaurant in Birmingham! - Edit
Absolutely 100% the best restaurant in Birmingham, Chinese or otherwise. The owner is so incredibly sweet, and she always remembers you when you return! She even knows my order (and my mom's order) by heart, and always remembers that my boyfriend orders coffee. Just that would be enough to recommend it, but the food is also amazing! They have a huge selection of vegan options, and every single one I've had is delicious. My favorite is the sweet and sour tofu, but the curry tofu, vegetable fried rice, vegetable dumplings, Mongolian chicken, and Mongolian beef are all incredible, as well. If you only ever eat at one restaurant in Birmingham, this needs to be it!!!
Pros: Wonderful Staff, Huge Portions, Giant Vegan Menu

good experience! - Edit
I joined a weekly vegan meetup at this restaurant. The service was impeccable, the price was reasonable, and the food was tasty. Not health food, but very solid choice if you want Asian food in Birmingham. All of the vegetarian items are vegan.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, good service

Many Choices - Edit
Had many vegetarian/vegan options on menu. The flavors weren't quite as complex compared to PF Changs, but I also did NOT find meat bits in my food like I have a few times at PF Changs. Restaurant could use an update on the interior. It smelled like a musty old building.

Pros: Friendly Staff, Large Portions, Many Menu Choices

Excellent vegetarian options - Edit
Being new to the Birmingham area, I was pretty clueless as to what restaurants had acceptable vegetarian options. I actually had read a positive review on New China Town and decided to give it a try. The staff was extremely friendly and doted on my husband, 3 year old son, and me during our entire visit. I ordered the hot & sour soup (vegetarian!) and moo shu tofu and my husband had the vegetarian mongolian "chicken". My son was happy with the rice. Everything was excellent. Actually, it was some of the best chinese food I have ever tasted. My husband who is not quite a vegetarian has returned numerous times on his own for the mongolian "chicken". There were so many vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. I have been there several times since and plan to try everything in the vegetarian section of the menu.
Pros: many vegetarian options, friendly staff, very reasonably priced
Cons: closed on Sundays
