Lovely cafe with vegan options - Edit
Nest on the Hill opened recently, so still finding its feet, its a lovely quirky cafe, with lots of character, with fantastic views and loads of seating outside in lovely gardens. I've called in for a coffee a couple of times and had a chat with owner Rebecca who offers overnight oats, vegan pancakes, plant milks, porridge and on my last visit she had avocado & tomato jam on toast, carrot & coriander soup and an awesome vegan peanut butter bite. So always ask what's vegan you never know what she can offer. I was impressed as Rebecca said all vegan options are cooked separately and vegan overnight oats are kept separate too, which is great. I bought a lovely locally made soy wax candle and a chilli plant, as there is a selection of things to buy too. Revisited for breakfast last week and had the banana, maple syrup porridge and my husband had his with blueberry compote and chocolate sauce. The porridge was fantastic, so creamy and delicious, some of the best porridge I have eaten. I also visited just before the second lockdown and had avocado and tomato jam on toast and yet again, the food was scrumptious. I know Rebecca has lots of plans for other vegan options, so I am dying to see what they are. Will be visiting again as soon as possible
