Vegetarian restaurant attached to the buddhist temple, inside the same gates. No English signage or menu but has a photo menu. Serves a wide range of vegan food from simple mushroom dishes to mock meats to elaborate banquet style dishes. Buffet at every new and full moon. Short walk northwest of city center, at Xinyi Rd, across the red bridge. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-1:30pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm.

On our visit the temple courtyard was undergoing renovations which meant access to the restaurant wasn't obvious. There was a passageway through a shop and under the temple and it was so worth it because the variety and quality of food on offer was outstanding. Although we didn't arrived until 1.20 pm we managed to have a great meal before they officially closed at 2 pm. They are also open 6-8 at night and they have some dishes you can pre-order if you don't want the buffet. That being said, the buffet was plenty! And amazingly inexpensive. I would have returned if I had more time in Guilin.

This was our introduction to the buffet culture of china! It was incredible! Definitely the best vegan option in Guilin. We went here twice during our stay. It’s really cheap at just over ¥20 per person. They have plenty of great options. Lots of tofu. They also have a sushi and ramen section which is pretty good. There is fruit and a few deserts for afterwards. Really friendly staff. It’s slightly hard to find, you just need to head into the temple that’s on the corner of the road. If you put Nengren temple into map you’ll see it. Definitely go if you’re in Guilin!

Best option for vegan food in Guilin - Edit
We went there for lunch around 13:00 and didn't have to wait, the buffet had so many options and all very good, we really enjoyed the food, and only 29¥ per person! Definitely worth it, also, we didn't find any other fully vegan/vegetarian places in Guilin.

Delicious meal, friendly staff - Edit
We loved this place! We arrived here at 20.15 after a long train ride from Chongqing, but they still let us in and even brought out some fresh dishes for us to try. There was lots of tofu, vegetables, buns and noodles (one of the ladies even prepared us a delicious rice noodle dish). Overall it was 58 yuan, really good value for money!

Went twice because everything was delicious. With a variety of vegetables, fruits, desserts and tea. Both times they had some different choices. Dinner buffet starts at 6 pm - it’s best to arrive 5 minutes before to get a table and avoid the crowds. It was 29 RMB PP

This seems like a rather popular place. The lunch buffet starts exactly at noon, although you can enter the restaurant earlier. Don't touch the plates until noon.

a super tasty buffet we ate at twice during our time here! Both times for dinner. They have lotsss of options, including bao's and desserts. Fresh noodles with sauces and sweet soups.

Es war sehr lecker! Ein beliebter Ort und einzigartig in Guilin. Mittags ist sehr viel los. Mensch bekommt eine Nummer und wartet bis ein Platz frei wird. 28 Yuan all you can eat. Sehr gutes Essen. Frisch, warm, kalt, süß, salzig, verschiedene Tees. Die Teesuppe im 2. Og ist einzigartig für die Region. Ein Lokal war an unserem Tisch und hat uns bestimmt Gerichte empfohlen. Sehr freundlich.

make sure to be there on time, earlier is better because it can get full then you have to wait before you get a table. Lunch starts at 12pm but you can go there and get a ticket for the waiting line starting at 11:30b

This is the first time I can say that I've gone to a buffet and had TOO many vegan options. So fab and so yum!!! They are open morning and evening, with a break in the middle. The first time I came I had to wait a while for a table, but it was so worth it. And it is unlimited food for 29yuen! I keep coming back for more 😂😂

Good selection of items at the buffet. Noodles, dumplings, faux meats, good vegetable dishes. Lots of buns filled with sweet bean paste. Buffet starts at 18:00, you can show up early to get a seat (I’d advise 10 minutes early) and sit to wait for the buffet to start. Was about $4US, great deal.

Speechless. I dined here three times now. Serves lunch and dinner at just 29¥ per person. Wonderful temple and beautiful environment. Clean, affordable and delicious. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. So much gratitude for this food and space.

This buffet is very popular but for a good reason! The food is delicious and there is a lot of variety. Lots of soups, DIY stations, some seaweed wrapped veggies, and loads of cooked vegetables. If I had more days in Guilin, I would have definitely gone back!
