Read moreThere are also special vegan flavors like banana bread and brownies, but you have to be lucky to get those. Otherwise there are really good sorbets in special flavors and dark chocolate every day :)

Ice cream is alright, but nothing special. You can get sorbet and/or vegan fruit ice cream at any random ice cream vendor. Everytime we went there, the interesting types all contained dairy. Not worth queuing.

Their website suggests that they do vegan ice creams with soy and oat milks but they only had fruit sorbets when we went and hadn't heard of any other options. The sorbet was average.

I love n'eis, they often have unusual flavours and everything tastes just delicious. when I was there they also had vegan chocolate ice cream, so I can't agree that it's just sorbets.

Only the sorbets are vegan here, just like in pretty much any ice creamery in Mainz. The sorbets are often quite special though (unusual flavours like quince, apricot, etc.) and tastes nice, but I don't think they are particularly catering for vegans.
Read moreAlso, beware of the hype: On hot summer days, you can expect to queue for 20-30 minutes - you are certainly better off going to any other ice creamery in this case.
EDIT: Apparently, the wafer cones are vegan as well!

In the winter they even have cinnamon buns!
You can usually find at least 3 different vegan types of ice cream. The queue can be incredibly long on a sunny day but it is always worth it!
