Gourmet dining in Tangier - Edit
Arguably your best and finest vegan option in Tangier. I dined here on several occasions and also enjoyed their breakfast. Heaps of choices and all food is very carefully prepared. Good drinks too. Lovely waitering staff. It’s an elegant setting in a lovely renovated property deep in the souk.

Fantastic! - Edit
We ate here twice over three days and we were so thankful this incredible restaurant was there for us!! Food is fantastic, ambience superb, service excellent! Highly recommended!! Note that they don't seem to answer the phone, but opening hours on their website, Google, Happy Cow, Instagram are accurate.

Unique, tasty restaurant - Edit
First off, the seating is fun. They let you pick your seat and there are 4-5 floors to the restaurant, including outside terraces. Comfortable couches, tiny pedestal tables, booths etc.
Read moreThe menu is quite varied and the food we chose was all excellent, with wonderful depth of flavor. We had the mushroomawarma, chick pea fries, terracotta dish and the almoncado pastilla. Great, friendly service and cool ambiance. Service was quite slow, you’ve been warned! 😅

Great Food, Beautiful Restaurant! - Edit
I loved this peaceful, tastefully decorated restaurant! What a lovely, quiet haven to escape the busy city and enjoy a first-class meal with first-class service! I had the Mezze Platter with the seasonal fruit juice. Ample portions and creative dishes with fresh flavors. Wish I'd have had time to eat here again!

Great place! - Edit
We had dinner here two nights in a row. The space is beautiful. We chose to sit inside on the first floor but you can go upstairs to one of the terraces or even to the rooftop. Service was lovely (thank you Yassine!). Food was very good. I especially enjoyed the mrouzia, which is a vegan version of the traditional Moroccan lamb dish. Not cheap by local standards by totally worth it!

First veggie restaurant in Tanja - Edit
Went there few months ago during Ramadan. During iftar they were preparing a special menu, bur for tourists it was open also for lunch.
Read moreThe space is absolutely impressive: plants and green everywhere, games of lights and shadows, the hemonious colours and furniture…
However, i found dishes were too small and expensive and food was just ok.

Super tasty vegan food in a wonderful place - Edit
We went to have dinner tonight. The place is unique and the food delightful. The menu is 100% vegetarian with lots of vegan options and Moroccan typical dishes. The waiters are well aware of what is vegan and what is not. For starters we had the Moroccan salad and the briouates (3 flavors, one with cheese that can be replaced - the bissara briouate is vey good). We then had the kefta and the Mrouziya: the sauce was particularly tasty and delicate. Finally we had the new desert almoncado pastilla which was wonderful. A big yes to this veggie restaurant, almost the only one in Morocco. Thank you Yassine for the welcoming and kind service! The restaurant also has a rooftop with a view on the Kasbah.

Perfect experience! - Edit
My one caution is to make sure you have time to relax and enjoy the experience! I know I am an anxious American, but this was an exceptionally relaxed place and pace. But the setting, food and service were all wonderful! There are multiple levels of seating, all beautiful and tranquil. The food was top notch - especially the bread! It was also easy to find with multiple signs marking the turns. Don’t miss this place!

5 stars for everything! - Edit
Top location, top service, top food, top juices, top guide (Yassin) you sweetly showed us the whole guesthouse and terrace and who knows the menu by heart. Very kind lovely young guy! Nbta means plant in Arabic (pronounced nibta). So cool to have a veggie-only place in Tanger!!!

Exquisite dining experience! - Edit
I really enjoyed chilling here and dining on quality cuisine. It's a multi-story renovated building that is beautifully decorated with indoor and outdoor places to sit. I had a good 'mushroomawarma' and a nice pistachio latte. Although it was a bit beyond my budget, it was worth it for a nice treat.

Excellent hidden gem - Edit
From the moment we entered the waiter Yassine was incredible (apologies if I spelt his name wrong)
Read moreReally delicious food, so many options which were vegan and very knowledgeable staff- he was able to describe each dish in detail and advise us on which ones we should try.
We went as a party of 6 and managed to try a fair amount of the menu- prices were very reasonable for such a beautiful ambiance and fresh tasty food! I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Madina- truly a hidden gem!
Google maps also took us to the back door as it did with some previous reviews- they kindly just let us in, but the front entrance is just around the corner so easy to find if you know where it is.

Beautiful food and space - Edit
Walking in to the building I was blown away by how beautiful the space was. So much care has been taken in restoring this building and decorating it to create an amazing ambiance. Our lovely waiters explained there were multiple levels; the ground floor, middle floor, terrace and then another little terrace on top. My husband and I both ordered the Mushroomawarma. I ordered an iced banana latte on soy and my husband ordered a pistachio latte on soy. Both drinks were very interesting and tasty. We were brought out some bread and olive tapenade first which was delicious. The Mushroomawarma was amazing!! The flavours were incredible and you could tell how much care went into the dish. After leaving I realised I didn’t ask if it was vegan though (they serve both vegan and vegetarian dishes) as it had a tzatziki on it and I just assumed it was vegan but maybe it wasn’t - whoops! We went back that night for dinner and ordered the Mrouziya and Golden Dish. Both were very tasty and it was nice to be able to sample Moroccan flavours without worrying if they were vegan or not. We both had a ginger lemonade which was nice but was a bit too gingery (we both love ginger but wow it burnt on the way down haha). Google maps took us to an entrance with a closed black door with the letters N’BTA on it. We knocked and someone came to the door to let us in. Once in we realised there is a different door just around the corner which was open with a sign out the front for the restaurant which is obviously the main entrance. So just keep that in mind when trying to find the place. Prices aren’t cheap but that reflects the quality of the food and the beautiful space you will dine in - was worth the money!

Delicious vegan food with great service - Edit
This is an incredible local gem, hidden in the side streets near the waterfront.
Read moreWe spotted the spray painted sign on the wall and followed it to the entrance of Nbta. The venue is incredibly stylish, and the menu not overly long, with everything made fresh to order.
Yassine proudly showed us around the premises and explained the menu to us, and was most helpful throughout... A credit to Nbta
We ordered a few plates to share, and the flavours were delicious.
We plan to be back before the end of our trip, so it goes without saying that we recommend this gem.
Pros: Friendly welcome, Amazing venue, Peaceful and luxurious

A hidden gem in the Medina - Edit
Everything is absolutely fantastic and a memorable experience at N'BTA: from the moment we arrived, the caring waiter who explained every dish with details, the ambiance and space nicely decorated and cozy, to the delicious meal we had.
Read moreWe were lucky to arrive during the Ftartchi at N'BTA residency, where 2 Tunisian chefs from the school designed and prepared a lovely menu with Tunisian-Morrocan influences. We devoured everything and even took leftovers home :)
Only downside is that there weren't vegan desserts (only vegetarians, which my partner tried and said it was really good)
Prices are at a normal range: we tried 4/5 of the dishes, plus drinks and one dessert; for around 35€ Total.
Highly recommended, especially being the only PB place at Tanger.
Pros: Food: top notch, Space and decoration , Service
Cons: No vegan dessert
