Here's my Nature's Pantry review for happycow. Came here on a past trip to Joshua Tree. The store is well stocked and not unlike the Joshua Tree Health Food Store. Strangely, the two stores are located quite close, just one plaza over.

Great place to stock up before Joshua Tree - Edit
When ever I go to Joshua Tree, I eat lunch next door and then grab a few essentials at Nature's Pantry. Its a pretty small HFS, but its got all the snacks you need for your car ride home or a few nights at Joshua Tree.
