Nature's Grocer

Nature's Grocer has, by far, the best consistent vegan bakery selection in this area of Connecticut. The doughnuts are amazing - I've had coconut, vanilla cream, chocolate frosted pumpkin, and so many more delicious ones. The cupcakes are also delicious. In addition to the takeout and bakery items in the front case, they offer a small menu. If you come during breakfast hours, they have the most incredible waffles with Earth Balance and real maple syrup. The soups are also fabulous! Everything is clearly marked to let you know what has eggs, dairy, nuts, etc.

Really the reason I'll drive 40 mins to get here. Specials change daily, they also sell a great vegan nacho dip.

Only place near Hartford to get vegan donuts and it's hard to go back from some of there's. My favorite to date is their blueberry.

The owner is super friendly and answer all our questions. The shop is very clean and tidy.

This store is great! I'm pretty sure everything is gluten-free and the majority of foods are vegan friendly and quite a bit of organic foods! They have everything from typical groceries &supplements, to a variety of nuts, seeds, and fruit, and Organic produce. They also have a delicious bakery/ fresh food section. Many desserts are vegan and all are gluten-free. Last time I visited I bought a vegan cranberry scone which was absolutely delicious& the vegan chai snickerdoodle cookies which definitely didn't disappoint! So nice to have a local vegan friendly store, although a little expensive (Like every other health food store out there) it's definitely worth checking it out!
