CLOSED: Nature and Peace

I just cheked yesterday, there is no nature and peace anymore.

I just had dinner at Nature and Peace this evening and spent some time with the owner. His dedication to healthy living has been shared with Istanbul and travelers to the city since 1995. Unfortunately the vege movement is slow here-and is full vege menu has been adapted to include meat to satisfy customers and keep his business going. Don't think badly of the restaurant for this- his vege menu is truly delicious and very well priced. Starters 5TL and mains 11TL. I recommend the hummus, "vege-meatballs" and spinach/soy meatballs. They are located in central Beyoglu- off of the humming Istiklal pedestrian street. ENJOY!

Go for the aubergine and the turkish ravioli. They were both very good. Good service and pleasent environment. Good location and kitchen open until pretty late. To recommend.

Ordered the Falafel and didn't expect a plate with only several very oily falafel balls. Also played loud music videos.

Because of its name, I was expecting a totally vegetarian/vegan restaurant. The owner is anyway very kind in suggesting what dishes are suitable for vegans and to modify some of them accordingly, which is remarkable. The food is DELICIOUS, especially humus, mutabel, falafel, lentil meatballs, pasta with pesto... I am getting mouthwatering just at the thought of it. I enjoyed N&P meals twice, out of 6 evening meals I had.Too bad I had to leave the city. Also the place is very cosy, familiar.

The food and service were brilliiant. When we requested a few vegan options, the waiter was more than happy to oblige and understood completely what we were after. I had the lentil patties and my fiancee had the aubergine with vegetables without the cream. Worth visiting.
