Serves meat, vegan options available. Cafe and pizzeria. The pizza menu marks what's gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian - a sign at the entrance encourages to ask for vegan variety. Wildly unimpressive - Edit
I'm thankful that one restaurant was open at night that had a semblance of vegan options? However, they don't even have vegan cheese for their veggie pizzas, the almond macaroons were stale, the apple crumble pie was microwaved and basic, and the vegan ‘snickers’ bar was good as it is in literally every single store with vegan options in all of New Zealand. Plus, the food took a long time to come out.

Vegan menu available but food could be better - Edit
It was great to see a whole vegan menu at this place! They did a tasty soup which was simple enough, but sadly the bread served with it was stale. The Almond Macaroons were also stale. However the vegan ‘snickers’ bar desert was delicious and well priced😄

Disappointing - Edit
Wanted to like this place as they had a separate vegan menu, with a selection of plant milks and deserts.
Read moreSadly though, the tomato soup I had was like a bowl of water, and my partners pasta was dry and bland.
Needs improvement.

Good choices but very average - Edit
Came here for dinner after a long day in the sun. We were fairly early, so there was no queue to order but still a decent wait for food. The queue to order was much longer after about half 6, so I imagine they had more than half an hour to wait for food, but I couldn't be sure.
Read moreTheres quite a lot of choice on the menu and it's all well marked / described. My partner had a pizza, which he raved about. I had a salad, which was flavourless even though covered in pesto. Also, it was all very room temperature (the roasted pumpkin, the leaves, everything!), which makes me wary!
Almost had the vegan crumble cake in the cabinet as it looked amazing, but, having waited for food when it was quiet, we didn't want to chance it!
Ok if you're happy to wait!

Ok food, expensive, comfy place - Edit
Got a small vegan pizza, it was smaller than I was expecting for the price. They have no vegan cheese for some reason, so it was just sauce, spinach, tomato, and mushrooms. Not a bunch of calories given the dough was very thin too.

Pros: Tasty pizza dough, Comfy place

We came in for a coffee and a snack and got served by a really nice lady, had homemade bread to the soup and a really big coffee. They do have vegan cake and very affordable prices

Nothing amazing but filling and tasty great to carb load after a long tramp. The vegan pizza did not have any vegan cheese so was a bit boring but still lots of veggies. Good vegan crumble cake tho.

It was ok - Edit
This restaurant has a vegan menu. We ordered the vegan pizza and the pasta with tomato sauce. Pasta was saucy and delicious. The pizza had a thin crust and no sauce with basic sliced veggies, not worth $25 we paid for it.

Ok in desperation - Edit
We tried to have a cuppa and cake. Vegan options are still advertised outside. There is only one kind of cake, a crumble cake. The first time we went this was offered warm. I asked the second time I went if this could be heated and was told no. They didn't stir our hot chocolates and seemed annoyed at having to make them. Better customer service and food available at the pizzeria in town.

I have tried this restaurant twice now. And was really happy. They have a extra little vegan Menu. I have tried the vegan Pizza which is just without cheese but really yammi with lots of veggies. I also tried the Vegan apple crumble cake which was also really yammi! 😍

Better search another place - Edit
Although there are many advertising about the vegan options on the outside of the cafe/restaurant, talking to the staff (which wasn't friendly), it is told that you can have any option from the vegetarian pizza menu WITHOUT cheese, or two options from the vegetarian pasta menu, again WITHOUT cheese, or a salad and the soup of the day. When asked if they could make a vegan smoothie, they said yes, but there isn't vegan milk and the cow milk is replaced by water.
Read moreI don't know why this place makes so much advertising about vegan food if they only offer three vegan options (a salad, a soup and a cake). The rest is only adaptations without vegan ingredients for replacement.
Ended up eating here considering the city is not vegan friendly. I had a penne pasta and a slice of the apple cake, which were just ok, although quite expensive.

A bit disappointed - Edit
This place seemed promising when I saw a sign outside that said "vegans ask about options." When I asked the owner/chef, she basically just pointed out the vegetarian items and said "without the cheese." Yeah, thanks, I can eat cheeseless pizza anywhere I go. I ended up getting a pasta, which had basil and olive oil. I had to add a ton of salt and pepper just to give it some flavor. It wasn't bad by any means, but certainly not worth the price.

This restaurant offers lots of vegetarian options. Vegan options included soup of the day and pastas, pizzas, and salads with the cheese left off.
