Lovely - Edit

We had a very tasty tempeh sandwich and cake here. The coffee was also great, many interesting vegan milk and butter options to choose from.

Best kept secret - Edit

Great little veggie/vegan cafe in Dunedin, cosy basement location down an alley opposite the Rialto Cinema, look for the street art lizard. simple rustic decor, very friendly staff and great coffee and simple seasonal food. Promises to be open for dinner from 2017.

Pros: Good vegan options, well priced for those on a budget, great coffee with a large range of non-dairy milks

Cons: No outside seating, Slightly 1970s era vegetarian decor, Can be hard to find down an alley

Laid-back & tasty..... - Edit

Almost completely Vegan here when we visited (Some dairy for coffees/drinks is still offered). An all-day Vegan menu with cabinet sandwiches, salads & desserts also available. Fruit drinks & smoothies too. A laid back cafe to enjoy a nice lunch.

Pros: Good prices, clean cafe, friendly staff.

Great (veg-friendly) cafe! - Edit

Excellent food with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Vegan menu items are clearly marked, and the staff is knowledgable (and friendly - they offered free samples!). There is a good mix of filling main/savory options (the tempeh sandwich is particularly good!) plus decadent (vegan) dessert options.

I highly recommend this cafe!

Pros: Great food, Fair prices, Friendly (knowledgable) staff

Cons: Small menu (but lots of veg options!)

A+ 10/10 - Edit

I have been eating here frequently since it opened, this cafe is amazing - especially from a vegan perspective. They are constantly experimenting with new things on their menu and it's extremely affordable especially considering the quality of the organic & vegan produce. The meals are $9-$12. The service is quick. The staff are lovely, knowledgable and have a great ethos in terms of compassionate & environmentally ethical consumption. It's located in a quiet basement space on moray and the vibe is always chill. Espresso is the cheapest in the area, and they use quality beans roasted at mazagran just around the corner.

Friendly, affordable and tasty - Edit

Offers daily vegan lunches for $12 (I had a MexiAsian kumara soup with bread and salad which was yum). All of their desserts are vegan, such as chocolate mousse, carrot cake, banana cake, bliss balls! The only thing not vegan is a chicken sandwich and dairy milk. Really good coffee with almond/rice/coconut/soy milk option. Most things are organic and they have a range of gluten free options. Really relaxed place with super friendly staff!

Pros: Almost all vegan, Organic, Friendly and relaxed

Cons: Serves one meat dish and dairy milk
