Friday dinners are great; classes are okay

I've been to the Friday dinners here and had a great time! The 3-course dinners are vegetarian but not necessarily vegan. You can look on the website to see what the menu will be before booking. You sit in one of the kitchens at a communal table and the student chefs serve you what they have created. It is BYOB. The food we had was fantastic and I would definitely return for another dinner.

I've also been to a class which was okay. You are split into groups and then each group cooks some of the recipes for the evening. The class mostly consisted of cooking together and I wish there had been more emphasis on instruction regarding ingredients, flavor pairings, and the history of the cuisine. The classes would probably be best as a date night activity... If you already cook a lot you may not get much out of them.

Pros: Great Friday Night Dinners

Cons: Classes

Gourmet vegetarian dinners on Fridays

This culinary school offers a 3 course vegetarian gourmet dinner on Fridays. The meal is prepared and served by the students, and overseen by an instructor. The dinners are often vegan and/or gluten free. The dinner we had was absolutely delicious. That week it was based on ayurvedic principles, and had an amazing combination of ingredients. Well worth going to.

The school emphasizes a plant-based cuisine, and has graduated some notable vegan chefs.

Pros: great vegetarian dinner, creative menu
