Small and cozy organic shop

It was a small shop I found on the sidewalk, with lots of organic and vegan foods. So I just had to buy some! The owner doesn't speak any English, but is really friendly and even gave me some discounts. I'll come back soon!

Pros: Most things are organic, Vegan-friendly, Relatively cheap

Cons: Small, Few products

Good selection of random items

We made a quick stop for coconut oil and left with a more than a few packs of vegan instant ramen, salty snacks and dried figs. Has fresh produce, but like everywhere in Japan it is heavily packaged. Bananas do not need a plastic bag. Worth a stop

Pros: Vegan options, Variety

Cons: Expensive, Plastic city

Easy to find vegan items

This store was really handy when on a long stay in Japan where we wanted to be able to buy ingredients to cook for ourselves. There were a lot of vegan snacks such as cookies and chocolate as well. A huge range of products in the store are labeled as being vegan, and anything we weren’t sure about we were able to ask - the owners can easily identify for you whether something is vegan or not.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Easy to determine what is vegan , A range of goods - fresh, frozen, cosmetics etc

Good place for us to get some snacks. Chocolates, packet ramen, some dried soy meats and also some cosmetics/toiletries.

And because my Japanese is bad, I was able to ask (in English) if a certain type of gyoza on the shelf were vegan and was confidentially told they were only vegetarian not vegan.
