Very yummy - Edit
We are visiting a vegan friend in San Diego and went here for lunch. My carnivore husband even loved it. I got the Ruben and my husband the cauliflower entree that looked like General Tsaos chicken. I wish we had this restaurant near home.

Too much deliciousness to choose from - Edit
I love this restaurant! The food is so yummy and prepared to order. They have monthly specials and there are lots of choices to suit everyone’s needs. They also have scrumptious desserts. The main problem is that there is so much to choose from that it can be difficult to pick what you want. So grateful that restaurants like this exist!

BBQ Brisket Burger is the bomb!! - Edit
I love BBQ sauce so I was a little skeptical but open to try the BBQ Brisket Burger. I figured there would be some seitan and coleslaw but when I bit into it I realized there was fake cheese, seitan brisket, what looked to be fake bacon, pickles, great BBQ sauce and coleslaw. It was fully loaded and awesome! I picked the lemongrass broccoli as the side and had a dark chocolate and orange truffle. The lemongrass broccoli was nice and spicy and cooked perfectly. The orange truffle was a perfect treat after the meal. I wish this chain extended to Tennessee!

I had a seitan burger and salad. Cannot explain how tasty it was. I was the happiest vegan while I enjoyed it. I tried what my friend was having and it was all delicious as well. Highly recommend this place!

The epitome of vegan fast food - Edit
I have ordered from them a few times, and have never been disappointed. They prepare your food pretty quickly, and delivery is super fast (in San Diego at least). A lot of their food does consist of meat alternatives, this might be a turn off for some. Nevertheless, if you live in L.A. or San Diego, its very convenient to have a vegan franchise that delivers right your door. They have an app, but a Paypal option would be nice. I like that they have a point system (you get $5 off for every $100 you spend). They call themselves a cafe but, they don't have that many actual drinks. Smoothies, tea, etc would be a nice addition to the menu.

Cons: Mix-ups do happen with delivery, Paypal option would be nice, More locations would be nice

Lots of Choices! - Edit
There were so many choices. We went to this restaurant twice. My husband really loved it. I prefer a more whole foods type menu with less tofu...
Read moreHe had the Poppin’ Jalapeño Burger and I had the Meatball Sub. He loved the burger. The meatball sub tasted a lot like sausage which is not my favorite taste, so I thought it was ok, a little mushy. We did not care for the potato salad but loved the fries. He loved the brownie I thought it was very rich and had a mushy texture, which worked out in his favor cause he got to eat most of it... :)
The second time we went I got the Big Ol’ BBQ Burger, because my husband enjoyed his burger so much, but although I thought it was ok I did not love it. I now realized I should have gotten the chicken salad I think I would have really enjoyed it! He had the Orange Cauliflower and really liked it.
Pros: Lots of choices, roomy/outdoor seating, friendly staff

Best sandwich - Edit
I had a 14 hour layover flight so just spent the night in San Diego. All I wanted to do was eat some good food and I did. I got the chicken bacon avo sandwich and it was the best sandwich I can remember eating. I also love how they don’t even sell soda! Super fast service as well.

So many choices! - Edit
There were so many great looking options. It was impossible to decide what to get. We ended up with the native nachos, the native chicken, bacon, avo club, and the bistro steak sandwich. Everything was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t choose which sandwich we liked more. Also try the lavender lemonade. Delish!!

Outstanding lunch!!!! - Edit
The restaurant was very clean, the staff were friendly and good at their jobs, and the food was exceptional. For a main course today I had a dish called Pad Thai - it is heaven in a bowl. For dessert I went with a peanut butter parfait - light, tasty, and just the right note to cap off a wonderful lunch. For a beverage I had my personal favorite - lavender lemonade. Love this place!

good - Edit
The Thai curry soup was a bit on the salty side but very flavorful. The kale and meatball bowl came loaded with veggies which were perfectly blanched. The quinoa was nice. The meatballs were soft and not quite meaty. There was also a slight rotten taste to them. I'm not sure if that was intentional. But they still tasted pretty good. It was covered in a sweet and bit spicy red sauce similar to some American Chinese dishes.

We had an array of food that we shared including the bistro sandwich, spicy cauliflower, nachos, and cupcakes. My absolute favorite was the spicy cauliflower. I had to order a second plate because they were that good! I thought it was clean, the staff was very friendly.

A little disappointed... - Edit
My husband, who is not vegan, and I decided to try Native Foods for a late lunch. Whereas the food was good - some of it better than the other, the actual venue was not as clean as it should be -- The tables were "sticky" and there were crumbs under the table --- which made for me not really wanting to come back. The food: the Native Nachos which we shared, was the best choice -- the other two choices were not as good - The vegan P&B alternative should be advertised as a breakfast item or a dessert, the apple slices that accompany it looked "old" - this is a sweet dish. The Jibarito hand held, my husband's choice, was good with the potato salad side and my husband said he felt very full - so the portions were great but the cleanliness is minus 5 stars. Sorry, I really wanted to like this place as I'm new to veganism but cleanliness comes as #1 -- I will not return.

Cons: NOT CLEAN, NOT CLEAN, NOT CLEAN

It is usually pretty clean when I go there. I see the staff cleaning, but people in general can be dirty, so I wouldn't hold it against them.

Pretty good - Edit
The prices were expensive, paying $40 for two adults, 2 small children. I love the food, but Evolution in Hillcrest has better cheese burgers in my opinion. The Chicken strips with ranch are fantastic, and so are the deserts (we all shared one since it was $5). Be sure to tell them it's to-go or they'll bring you're food to your table on plates instead of bagged. No sodas, but specialty drinks are available (like hibiscus tea and lavender lemonade) with refills. Bottom line, great place, expensive, and geared to sit down though you can certainly take it to go.
Read morePros: Great desert, realistic vegan tasting "meat," many
Cons: Expensive, stuffy order takers, had a better veggi
jabari.akuffo
I completely disagree with expensive. I would say they are pretty affordable; mostly everything is $10-12 or less. They have three drink options which I will say are honestly not worth it ($3.25), so I just bring my own drink.
