Love native foods in every location - Edit
This restaurant is something I always look to get when I come to California from Michigan. Super tasty and find I often think about it back home. Highly recommend for a good lunch option. I got the tortilla soup today and is was delicious! I also got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was nice that there was two large tenders/patties on sandwich versus one which I would have expected

Can’t complain about a easy vegan lunch spot! Got a chipotle “chicken” wrap and Reuben sandwich - both great. Probably won’t blow anyone away but a consistent good option. Enjoyed the oatmeal crème cookie as well!

Nachos were very tasty, they had a little spicy kick but wasn’t a hot spice. It had a cold hummus like spread with it. Not sure what it was but it was good and added a nice cool freshness to the nachos. We also got a double cheeseburger. Good burger, not sure what the patty was made of but we liked it. Sn: I ate the left over burger that evening for dinner, wasn’t that great re heated.

I enjoyed the Cauliflower Chickpea Shawarma Wrap with a side of Steamed Kale, followed by a delicious Chocolate Cupcake. Friendly and fast service. I'll be back!

This is the description of it: teriyaki sweet potatoes, avocado, roasted almond slices, pineapple, roasted corn, daikon sprouts, green onions, jasmine rice.
As soon as I opened my takeout box I thought it looked very sparse. It looked disappointing but I figured maybe it just looks that way and maybe it’s still tasty. I mixed the sauced potatoes into the rice and there wasn’t much to go around and overall the entire dish and every element was very bland and underwhelming. The roasted almond slices were like blanched almond slices and just weren’t as good as I was expecting. The roasted corn sounded like it could’ve been great - I love roasted corn but this roasted corn was dry, not bursting with juiciness or sweetness. It just tasted like canned corn or frozen corn that’s been sitting out for quite awhile to thaw. There were also way too many green onions for such a small bowl in my opinion. That’s mainly what I tasted.
Overall, it needs more flavour. Either a much more flavourful sauce, season the toppings or just add more toppings because I felt like I was basically eating mainly rice & green onions. I let my husband try my bowl and he was shocked at how bad it was and even said it’s got to be the worst vegan meal he’s ever tasted from a restaurant.
My husband ordered the chicken run ranch and said it was okay. Said he’d rate it a 3/5. But also mentioned that he remembered having Native Foods a long time ago and that it was very good but this time not so much.
I will say that the service is good. The girl taking the orders and payment was very nice and although the restaurant was busy, I did notice that she was very good at greeting/acknowledging customers and letting them know she’d help them shortly which is nice.

Who doesn't like to start with dessert first? The oatmeal cream pies at Native Foods are such a must! Two amazing, chewy, caramelly, oatmeal cookies with a soft, marshmallowy fluff in the middle, no matter what, these are guaranteed to make your day.
The Twister Wrap - grilled vegan chicken with buffalo sauce, with mixed greens cucumber salsa and chipotle sauce in a whole wheat tortilla. Rich, smoky and so delicious, you won't be able to put this one down.
BBQ Chicken Salad - The original is absolutely amazing, but since we were already getting vegan chicken on the Twister Wrap, we substituted their spicy tempeh, and it took it to the next level. Hearty and meaty with a smoky spiciness, we highly recommend this swap. It pairs so well with the black beans, corn, jicama, avocado, and green goddess dressing in the salad. So good!
Cauliflower and Chickpea Shawarma Bowl - Diverse and delicious with all kinds of fun fillings, this bowl features shawarma chickpeas, cauliflower, quinoa, a cucumber tomato salad, fresh herbs and a tahini dressing. Delicious!

I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was delicious! The fries and ranch were great as well. I liked the lavender lemonade and they have free refills so that is a bonus! I’d definitely check this place out if you were debating it

This is my FAVOURITE restaurant. You MUST try the Reuben!!!!! They have a great rewards app, run really good discounts and promos, and finally have a location up in LA! I go here at least once a week. They also recently upgraded their BBQ burger - it’s another must try! DELICIOUS! Grab a Boylan soda too, they’re so tasty!

Food always tastes fantastic and have many options hiwevwr aince I discovered their sesame kale boel with tempeg and sauerkraut I cannot bring myself to order anything else. Just order the Thai chili Brussel spouts. They are amazing. Also tried the chicken/avocado club and it was delicious- great mix of layers and flavors. Lemon and dill potato salad was also nice, good flavor mix and well balanced. Mac and cheese was disappointing, not creamy at all and bland pasta but I added some of the Thai chili sauce which made it yummy. I actually think they forgot to put the cheese on it. Topped it all off with the oatmeal cream pie cookie and my god y’all- the cinnamon smacks you in da mouth but works so well with the cream I wish I could’ve finished it. I had it delivered to my hotel and it was early so that was a bonus. Will definitely return if I ever come back to SD!
