Best vegan food in Boulder! - Edit
Stopped by when we were passing through town on the way to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Read moreI had the burger that came with thousand island and barbeque sauce...it was sort've like a healthier Big Mac. It was incredible. My fiancée had the buffalo chicken wrap and she loved it as well.
After lunch we went back through the line and ordered a smores cookie and a chocolate chip cookie to eat after we did some hiking. They were both great!

Vastly over-salted! - Edit
Moving back to Front Range as a vegan had me hunting down all my options. At first I thought Native Foods would be a great option when I was near Boulder. But after having about 5 or so meals there now I'm not sure I'll go back. The problem is they provide FIFTY POUNDS OF FREE SALT with every meal. Ok... I'm exaggerating a bit... but you can tell on your first bite, like your mouth is on fire. Many vegans (like me) chose this diet for health reasons, including limiting extra salt, which is totally unnecessary. But it makes you extra sensitive to conventionally high salt dishes. Both burgers I had were very salty. The Seitan meatball bowl even more so--I could only finish a third, and even then woke up several times during the night needing water due to the excess salt. The sweet potato fries I once had were likewise not even just lightly sprinkled but more like encrusted with salt. If they address this egregious deficit, I think it would be great. (Note they do not provide nutrition information in the store or on their website--no wonder! They'd probably have to list 1000% of daily sodium on their entrees!)

Cons: WAY TOO MUCH SALT, Often have kitchen music blaring competing

Vegan fast food! Great options. Enjoyed the portabella sausage burger one night and the Avocado wrap the second. Had a jalapeno cupcake that was just OK.

Vegan Fast Casual - Edit
Stoked to find this place when I came to Boulder for a concert. The food does not disappoint and the service is super fast. Set-up is like the fast-casual of a Chipotle or the like, but the food is a world above places like those. I had the meatball sub and was extremely satisfied. The caramelized onions and roasted red peppers were a nice touch too. I would absolutely go back to this place.

This is a small chain with locations scattered across the US. The menu has a few changes seasonally but lots of staples. They have an app where you can order takeout. Casual environment with some outdoor seating with nice mountain views.

I was so excited walking in to a restaurant and having more than one or two choices. Some of the best vegan food around. Sad that the one in downtown Denver close. Glad to see this one is still open. If I'm ever back in the area, I will be going back to this little gem.

I live native foods it's the best vegan restaurant chain ever in all of time on Tuesday the young old server very. Nice amazing service and many placeto wait and sit. There's a painting of a pig with silver wings and helmet adorable being catapulted upwards next to a smaller painting of a crunchy nugget of vegetables. The piggy hungrily of coarse towards the food. A third painting Is beyond words ...It's an amazing choice a peaceful diet thank you for such a convenient place to be welcomed to

LOVE!!!! - Edit
2nd time coming here and this place is amazing! Perfect for people transitioning to veganism or anyone 'cause the mock meats taste legit! The nachos are bomb! The chipotle sauce they use is drinkable! I got the twister wrap....it was too spicy for me so I dunked it in the nacho chipotle sauce to tone it down and it was really good! My husband got got the Ruben sandwhich and we loved it...it's a bit greasy but really good! Their mac and cheese is the best vegan mac we've ever tried. They aim to please and have been super nice both times we've been here! The food comes out quickly after you order, too! Highly recommend!!!!

Mediocre at best - Edit
If this was the only vegetarian restaurant in the world, I'd be excited that it existed. But with so many better options, why eat fried greasy food without a lot of flavor? Don't get me wrong, I love fried greasy food. But there is better food out there. The mac and cheese, for example, was soggy and flavorless. We didn't even eat more than one bite each.

Boulder's best vegan casual restaurant - Edit
Oh my gosh, I love Native foods!! The best part about this restaurant is that it's all vegan and you can order anything without worrying about what's in it.
Read moreThere are healthy options here like the macro bowl, steamed kale, salads and grilled veggies and quinoa - -but there are tons of comfort foods on tap to keep everyone (including omnivorous patrons) happy.
The Reuben sandwich, Oklahoma bacon burger and the chicken run ranch burger, meatball sub, Thai meatball bowl, taco salad and avocado crunch wrap are some of the standouts on the regular menu and they have "seasonal" items and sandwiches as well. Right now they have brussels sprouts tossed in sweet Thai chili that are sooo freakin good I wish I could mainline them.
Side dishes come with some menu sandwich items and can be added on for 99 cents on others. (standard sides are french fries, potato salad, steamed kale and side salad) while premium sides can be added for just a little more (or purchased separately for 2.99 as of this writing) -- lemongrass broccoli, grilled veggies, super-slaw, mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries
All the french fries and sides are delicious but especially noteworthy is the new mac and cheese side (made with a vegetable based cashew sauce that is still delicious and creamy/cheesy) -- soo good!
Desserts are variable in quality (e.g. the oatmeal cookie is basically two giant oatmeal cookies with a giant slab of frosting in between) .. but sometimes the seasonal desserts or specials are really good.
For beverages there is lavender lemonade, watermelon fresca and teas are on tap instead of soda. (Coffee, tea, and beers are also available)
Pros: all vegan , yummy side dishes, great quality

The worst of all of the Native Foods I've been to - Edit
I am from CA. Come here to visit and checked it out. I LOVE Native Foods. The employees here are very nice and friendly, but the food is TERRIBLE. Chili had no beans and tastes like pure tomato sauce. Chicken Run Ranch Burger was dry and had no flavor. I would never come back here. If you've never eaten here before maybe you would think it was good, but if you've been to other NF elsewhere you will be disappointed. Sorry

Stopped here during a trip to Boulder - I know it's a chain but Iowa doesn't have any! I was really pleased with my food and so was my husband. We even got a free dessert since it was our first time there! Hopefully they'll make their way to Iowa because I would totally eat here all the time.

Well... pretty good - Edit
I ate here five times in two weeks due to obligations nearby, and I really want to like this place more, and rate it higher.
Read moreThey are all vegan, super friendly, and have some fun options. Unfortunately they kind of go the way of the $10 small portion sandwich which is somewhat under-flavored.
I had several different sandwiches and the side wings, and all were tasty enough, though most required salt or hot sauce. All of the flavors were fine, just a little muted. I don't need an all-you-can-eat portion, but the portion sizes didn't fill me up a single time.
If this was the only vegan option in town, I'd likely rate it higher, and keep going back. But until they make the food a little more dynamic and the portions slightly larger, it won't be a go-to when I return to Boulder (or the other four states where Native Foods has outposts.)
Pros: All vegan, Fun, interesting options, very friendly
Cons: Not super flavorful, Small-ish portions
