A welcome surprise - Edit
There's not a great deal of vegan options in the surrounding area, so it was a welcome surprise to see some vegan options at the cafe within the grounds of the beautiful Gibside. I had the curried cauliflower pasty, which was packed full of flavour and a delicious pumpkin spiced soya latte. There is also a lovely seating area outside. Well worth a visit if you do plan a trip to this national trust site.
