The best green curry ever!

I love Thai food but vege Thai is hard to come by where I live. But here the server understood that I won’t accept Nampura (fish sauce) which is typical of Thai food. I ordered green curry which was excellent! Although I was not very hungry I enjoyed it thoroughly. The server who attended me was very friendly. The restaurant is owned by a local Muslim businessman. So no alcohol and no pork (even for non vege menu).

Mediocre

If you need to satisfy your Thai food cravings, then you can give it a try, but overall the quality is mediocre. I did not even finish my curry. There are no vegan dishes on the menu but they can customise many of the items to make it vegan

Pros: Many options

Cons: Nothing special

Food was delicious!

Some mixed reviews here but decided to try anyway. Ordered 3 dishes for takeaway off the vegetarian menu and made a note for no animal products. We ordered Papaya Salad, Spring Rolls and Pad Thai which cost us Rs. 2,600. Food was delicious and fairly authentic (I have been to Thailand a few times). More over the portions were generous and it was enough for 3 very hungry adults. Not the cheapest, sure, but I think it’s value for money and on par with any other upper scale restaurant in Colombo.
I did do some research before ordering and learned that they are actually a branch of a Thai restaurant from Thailand.
Do yourself a favour and order the spring rolls! They were sooooo good (6 in a serve).

Pros: Food is delicious and authentic, Lots of vegan options, The spring rolls are fantastic

Cons: Not the cheapest but worth the money

Avoid it!!! It’s a total disaster!

It was the worst experience in our 2 weeks holidays in Sri Lanka. The worst and the most expensive dinner we’ve had there. We were encouraged by the positive review they had in Happy Cow and as we were close we decided to give it a try, unfortunately... Knowing that they have a separate vegetarian menu we asked for it and we explained that we were vegan and that we didn’t eat milk, eggs etc. There were plenty of staff members around our table giving us contradictory information about the ingredients of the dishes, one of them finally went to the kitchen to ask the chef and confirmed which didn’t contain any milk, butter or eggs. We made an order and we asked a Thai Ice tea to drink as we wanted to try something typical of that cuisine. The guy who was taking our order and who gave us all the info of the dishes (milk-less) didn’t tell us that this drink was made of milk! When we received it I’ve checked on the internet the recipe and called the same guy asking if it contained milk. He said ‘yes, but it’s a condensed type of milk’. OMG, they didn’t understand at all what ‘vegan’ meant😡 We also received a bill without asking for it, not very polite gesture. Avoid this place!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They don’t understand what vegan means , They don’t know the ingredients of their dishes, Expensive

Yummy!

I go here because they have a seperate vegetarian menu and the pad thai is the BEST. While they say it's vegetarian they said it doesnt have eggs or dairy. You do have to ask for it though. I've been slowly getting my way through the menu. It's all REALLY tasty, traditional Thai food but done vegan with a proper chef, its not just a regular dish with things taken off it.

Pros: Seperate vegan menu, The staff are really friendly, Great quality food

Cons: There's no booze, the tofu they use is the "smelly" one, They still use plastic staws
