Restaurant-bar converted to all vegan in 2014. The decor is reminiscent of days of the Tsars, and boasts one of the most exuberant bars in the city where patrons come to dine on the Georgian cuisine and drink. Confirmed closed, Jun 2018.

Good vegan food in interesting environment

A friend and I arrived at midnight on a Thursday night, and the kitchen was about to close, but they said it was fine for us to order. I asked for an English menu, which the friendly server provided.

I got the shwarma, which was incredible! My non-vegan friend got the pilaf, which he really liked.

The connected bar (in the adjoining room) had a DJ playing. Very loud in the bar, and not too quiet in our dining area, but we could still easily converse, though with raised voices, while dining. (The DJ was quite eclectic, spinning mixes from the '40s to present. Though not ideal for dining, I enjoyed the music.) The dining area was subdued in lighting, with paintings and Georgian decor.

I'd like to come back and try the mushroom pirogis.

Edit: I went back and tried the Truffle dumplings. Amazing! This place is awesome. (And this time, in the afternoon, it was quiet.)

Would've loved to try more!

Georgian food isn't usually readily available outside of Georgia, so I was really pumped to eat here. I came for lunch and got the business lunch deal. For 69 shekels, I got a drink, a salad with bread, and a main dish of choice. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Being by myself, I couldn't try as many items on the menu as I would've liked for obvious reasons. I settled on the filled pastry—whose exact name eludes me—and it came as a huge, round, flat disc with some kind of dipping sauce on the side. As much as I enjoyed it, I would've ordered something not bread-based in retrospect given the big piece of bread (which was excellent btw) that I'd already eaten with the salad. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake. Rich, dark, and decadent—it was even better than it looked.

This place is tucked away at the end of an alley and is a little hidden. I walked past it the first time and completely missed it. Just follow Google Maps, the location is accurate.

Pros: delicious food, interesting menu

Yum

We loved our time here, the food was so really good. The dumplings and adjoining sauces were so tasty, light and perfectly seasoned. We also had the Pilaf dish, rice and beans, which was homely, rich in flavor, without being too heavy. We ordered a few dishes and shared which was perfect. Our waiter was lovely and the decor was definitely something to look around at and chat about. Our desserts were so yummy. The cheesecake was fluffy and perfection, don't know how else to describe! And we had a type of yogurt dessert with berry sauce. Also the price is a bit high, but I think it's worth it, for a night out with your partner or friends (even non vegan). Will definitely go again. Want to go through all the menu!

Pros: Great flavors, decor and service

lovely surroundings, big portions

Lovely bar and vegan restaurant in Lilienblum Street not far from Rehov Rothschild, in the city’s upmarket district. The interior of the restaurant is very eclectic and very avant-garde likewise the international clientele. When we were there the restaurant was visited by an Indian film crew.
The food is lovely but the portions are enormous. We had a starter a main and dessert and we were full.
The dishes could be lighter and we missed fat free options on the menu. I hope Nanuchka will put some light Georgian food on the menu in the future. The maleby was lovely.

Pros: the lovely atmosphere.

Cons: heavy dishes.

What a delicious treasure chest

We had the mushroom dumplings, the braided artichokes, the pomegranate vinegar salad and two deli shouts desserts and couldn't be happier to find such unusual and delicious food during our Israel trip. Also the Georgian wine was superb. Cannot wait to come back!

Pros: Georgian vegan food, hello?!, Beautifully decorated restaurant, Vegan dumplings!

Splendid

I am very glad for being the ambassador of Happy Cow in Athens, Greece because thanks to that, my friends and I were invited by the lovely ambassador in Tel Aviv, to have dinner here.

The appetizers, Georgian bread, plate with many different salads and aubergine something were all delicious!

Their wine was also very good!

Hearing that we only came for the march for animals rights, they offered us a second bottle of wine at the end!

We also loved the belly dancer who was thrilled to see that my friend knew how to dance because she was also a belly dancer in the past!

We had a very good time and we also loved the paintings on the walls. Very sophisticated and they reminded us of the cards of our favorite table game, Dixit!

Pros: Hospitality, Variety, Live music

LOVED IT

Not only was the food delicious, but the service was incredible. I'm talking Canadian-level of good. The staff was patient, attentive, and friendly. I even got to have a nice conversation with the owner. My lunch had a really cute name. Something like The Little Chicken Who Got Saved. Definitely recommend this place for the food and the service. 10/10

Pros: food, service

True vegan restaurant

I can't give enough praise for this restaurant which turned vegan several years ago after the owner became vegan. Nanuchka combines delicious vegan Georgian food with a really fun ambiance. This restaurant is a must visit for all vegans in tel aviv. Only downside, the food is a little expensive and portions are not large.

Pros: Food, Ambiance

Cons: Portion size

Colorful and happy

The space is used very thoughtfully.
Service was perfect including the newest member of the staff. Food very good, but mostly not suitable for those who try to avoid gluten. I tried, unsuccessfully... Will definitely come back

awesöme georgian food

The Menu is awesome. So much to chose! It's georgian and all vegan. You should also try the cocktails! Loud music playing, so maybe not for anyone the best place for dinner.

Very good, but not "chef food"

I like the food there a lot, especially the desserts are absolutely amazing. The 3 layered chocolate dessert might be the best dessert I ever had. Nevertheless, the main dishes are really good but too expensive for what you get. The prices promise "chef" food and what you get is solid home food. Anyway, recommended to try.

Pros: Desserts, Amtmosphere

Cons: Prices

Has everything you're looking for in a pub.

We stumbled across this place by accident and decided to go in for a drink. We then ended up going back several times for the food. The menue is simply amazing and absolutely unique in Tel Aviv.

Atmosphere and vegan food!

As soon as we walked in, I was excited to eat here. It has a vintage feel. We came for lunch. The menu ranged from 53-64 shekels. With each dish you get a bread, salad, and drink. My husband and I ordered 2 dishes (cutleti and khatchapoiri), and we were not able to finish everything. Both dishes were delicious. I would order than again, but it seems like there is a lot to try here. Outdoor and indoor seating. Seems like a fun place to come with a group and try more dishes.
