Amazing

Food was amazing, felt like I was back in Japan. Everything was perfectly flavoured and seasoned and you could really tell the food was made with love. In all honesty I appreciated it being slow. It gave me time to enjoy the food, and the atmosphere. It’s nice not feeling the usually pressure you feel to rush and pay your bill and leave. I felt they were happy for me to take my time and enjoy it.

Lovely little place!

As mentioned in other reviews, the waiting times are pretty long for the main courses and even longer for the dessert(s). He mentioned 30 minutes for the main course and 40 for the dessert. They have one vegan and one non-vegan set menu of the day. Due to time constraints I couldn't wait for the order, so I settled only for their premium fancy teas. Will be coming back to try out their food for sure! (review only based on their drinks, service and location)

Exceptional food

Compliments to the chef! The food was really excellent. The chef obviously put in a lot of effort and attention to detail in preparing our meals. You need to wait 30 mins as everything is prepared from scratch but it is well worth the wait. If you only have one vegan meal in Porto, make time for this one. And have dessert too!

Pros: Friendly family run restaurant, exceptional food

Cons: waiting time (although worth it)

Mixed feelings

Me and my boyfriend had lunch there last week and I have to admit, this is the best Japanese food I have ever tried in my life.
The way we were treated, however, was very unprofessional. We arrived there 25 minutes after opening and were told that it will take 40 minutes to prepare our food. We agreed and went for a 30 minute walk. After our return we had to wait not 10 and not even 30, but 55 more minutes!!! We were given no excuses and have simply been ignored. A couple who came after us became their food before us. After that I went and asked how much longer it is going to take and was told that it isn't their fault our food takes so long to prepare. The later as the waiter brought us our food, he told us he wouldn't have recommended we offer something at all when we would have said him straight away that we had a bus to catch. We didn't think it was necessary though because when you are told that it is going to take 40 minutes then you have a right to trust this information. Anyway, because of that, we had to eat pretty quickly and could not enjoy the food as much which was really disappointing.

Wow!

Wow, truly impressive Japanese food. Every item was a work of art. Each with their own distinct flavors. The woman in the kitchen knows what she is doing.
