Delicious, authentic food - Edit
A great, relaxing atmosphere. Service was prompt and everything tasted great. Bear in mind, the food may be hotter than in a standard Indian restaurant, the saag aloo side dish I had was rather on the spicy side! But delicious nonetheless

My partner is not vegan and he had a veggie dish which he said was also incredible but I obviously did not try it!
All round really good food and would return!!

Crackin’ Curry - Edit
We’ve been here 3 times in the last couple years and every time it’s fab. We had the love to share platter, Pani Puri, Chana Masala, Namaste Navaratan, garlic nan, jackfruit biryani last time we visited and everything was amazing. There are so many vegan options and dishes that can be veganised, which is clearly labelled. The staff are always lovely. We would definitely come back again.

Vegan Indian Afternoon Tea - Edit
Great restaurant for some amazing food! All the food is vegetarian with most options be vegan/vegan adaptable. We came for the afternoon noon and it was phenomenal. Many small plates with a variety of tastes. Loved it all despite usually avoiding some of the ingredients but the way they’d been cooked were great. Definitely recommend the chai too!

Didn't live up to expectations - Edit
Namaste Village Norwich has many glowing reviews from fellow vegans but we were not so impressed. On the plus side, the restaurant is spacious and airy and there are many vegan options on the all vegetarian menu. The quality of the dishes we chose for our meal was ok. Ok but nothing special. I think we are spoilt by the many excellent indian restaurants in Leicester, from where we hail. The Aloo Bonda we had was overly dry, the Crispy Spinach Chaat contained tough chewy bits not like any other chaat I've ever had. The Jackfruit Biryani was a mush. I could go on. The menu is also all over the place. The restaurant has made a significant effort to cater for those looking for meat-based substitutes, e.g. Konkani Jhinga made with plant based prawns and Lamb Labbabdar (not all of these fake meat dishes are vegan, so be careful). This is surprising, though, with a vegetarian cuisine that has many fabulous, tasty vegan dishes in its own right. Even more surprising was that the menu doesn't have a vegan daal of any kind! Our feedback to the restaurant would be to work on the freshness and textures of your dishes and really celebrate your traditional vegan cuisine.

Some great vegan options! - Edit
Excellent South Indian dosa and street food, with vegan meat substitute dishes. Specials are usually very good. Avoid vegan puddings, which sadly are disappointing... They also stock kingfisher and cobra on tap (both vegan)

What a wonderful restaurant! - Edit
Wow. Just wow. The food was so good. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Just had the most amazing meal. I can’t say enough positive things about this experience, so you should just go eat there. We had street food starters and mains. The Beetroot Kebab and the Dahi Puri, which literally are little flavour bombs that just explode when you pop them in your mouth. The butter masala vegetables was flavoursome and filling. The Gujwari Naan was so tasty and it’s so good to know it’s vegan. We took some home too, and I was more than happy to have the same dinner for my birthday the day after. And get this…. If you live in Norwich they have cookery classes and catering, and you can buy spices too. Thanks so much for a great experience. Hope to see you again soon.

Average Takeaway - Edit
After reading all the reviews, we were really excited to try this. We ordered a takeaway but, unfortunately, we were left quite disappointed. The poppadoms were stale and the saag aloo was watery and lacked flavour. I’m sure it’s a different dining experience when eating there - maybe just not the best takeaway.

Delicious - Edit
Beautiful decor in a converted historic building. Excellent attentive service. As it was a Sunday we chose the buffet - apparently this is every Sunday and changes weekly. There were pakoras, samosas, massala dosa and salads and pickles for starters, then butter naan, rice with pomegranate seeds and three different curries for main. Followed by a miniature rice pudding. Everything on the buffet was vegan apart from one paneer dish, all clearly labelled. Amazing mocktail of elderflower and cucumber, and a rose, cardamom and beetroot latte to finish - all such fabulous flavours.

Beautiful vegan & vegetarian Indian food - Edit
This was my favourite meal out in Norwich, with a huge menu filled with vegan/vegan options (the restaurant is completely vegetarian, but some dishes have dairy), and I wish I lived closer to Norwich so I could eat here more often!
Read moreWe had the pani puri and samosas to start (both absolutely amazing) and I had a dosa with a side dish that I can't remember the name of (a curry type dish with beans & lentils) - the side dish wasn't my favourite but the dosa was so so delicious! It came with a flavourful tomato-y dip and a coconut raita which was perfect for dunking. My partner had a vegan "goat" tomato-cashew based curry (which I was a little jealous about) and the coconut naan. We also got the mango lassi to drink which I would recommend as some of the dishes were quite spicy!! (and also because it tastes nice!!!)
The staff were so lovely and accommodating, I don't think I've had such good service for such a long time. There is a service charge included in the bill, but we would have tipped that amount in any case!
Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!
Pros: Beautiful food, Attentive staff and really good service, Good value for money

Vegetarian Indian restaurant - Edit
Theres a wide range of vegan dishes to choose from, although many dishes on the menu are mock meat dishes which isnt my thing. We enjoyed the food we had particularly the love to share platter and vegan naan breads. The restaurant wasbusy on the night we visited and so service was slow, but staff were friendly, apologetic for the wait and otherwise attentive.
