We found there were not a lot of options here in Bayonne for vegetarians, but what we did find was excellent. We found seats outside in the fresh air and listened to the strains of someone singing at a bar nearby. Our server was delightful and patiently listened to us try out our broken French even though he could speak perfect English. I ordered the vegetarian Thali which came with freshly baked naan piping hot from the oven. That small touch made it feel like grandma cooked for us.

Un conseil : arrivez tôt, à midi pile, vous mangerez en 30min avant que les odeurs des plats carnés (gambas grillées) ne prennent le dessus.

Comida india casera muy sabrosa con un plato vegetariano de arroz especiado ensalada de garbanzos y lentejas buñuelos de verduras verduras al curry. También bangami de verduras delicioso!! Precios muy buenos ya que es un local de comida para llevar aunque tiene unas mesitas en la calle si no llueve

I was looking for vegetarian options in Bayonne. And this Indian restaurant looks good ! I took the vegetarian plate. It consist of seasoned rice, curry vegetables, chickpeas salad and vegetable fritters plus a naan. The plate was very good and satiating. The only cons was the place, we ate in the interior because it was raining but it is preferable to it outside or to take away.

We tasted the vegetarian plate & vegetables biryani- definitely go for the plate if stuck for choice. It was tasty & cheap, lacking slightly in presentation. Both options contained yoghurt (& maybe eggs? In the beignets on the plate) so not vegan.
