Disappointed by number of Vegan options on Breakfast Buffet

My girlfriend and I are both vegan and went to go to their weekend breakfast buffet which is posted in various locations as being vegetarian & vegan friendly. And while it certainly is vegetarian, almost nothing on the buffet was actually vegan due to containing ghee, other than some breads and chutney's after checking with staff as none of the items were actually labeled. Being that we weren't able to eat ~80% of the items available and essentially none of the main course items we unfortunately decided to leave without eating anything, which was unfortunate because we had wanted to come here for awhile and had to drive ~45 minutes round trip to get there. The staff were kind enough to allow us to take some breads we already had on our plate for free after we decided not to eat, which I did tip for, so I do appreciate the hospitality. For vegetarians or people ordering off the menu I'm sure the options are better, but unfortunately, though we still felt like the options available for a buffet being labeled as vegan friendly weren't sufficient enough to provide a satisfactory meal and they should probably change their marketing to reflect this.

Pros: Vegetarian, Helpful staff

Cons: Limited vegan buffet options for breakfast

Ordinary taste

Went there for my birthday and was not very satisfied with the taste. 3 foot dosa was an excitement but the taste of the dosa and Sambar was not flavorful that I would go back for. Sambar was a bland lentil soup.

Pros: Large menu

Cons: Pricey , Bland food

Huge Saturday Lunch Buffet

I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge lunch buffet being served for Saturday lunch. Surprised in the sense that the buffet is not mentioned on their website or social media pages (that I could find). I am not sure if the buffet is a regular occurrence or not, so if you’re in the mood for a very large vegetarian/vegan buffet, I’d suggest calling ahead.

Approximately 75% of the buffet is vegan. There is no labeling but one of the friendly staff can help answer any questions.

The food itself was quite good all around. I’d be a regular if it wasn’t a 45-minute drive from home.

Great variety, good flavors and portions

Went with my husband on a weekday for lunch and it was not busy at all. The inside is cute and nicely decorated—there’s a fun mural of a god (?) presiding over a vegetarian banquet spread.

They were out of the fried chilies appetizer I wanted, so we got fried chili cauliflower instead along with rasam soup (tangy/spicy broth) and vegetable chettinadu. We asked for “spicy” on all items and they were medium spicy. The fried cauliflower was very good. We were afraid there wouldn’t be enough rice with the chettinadu (the waiter warned us it came with “a little bit”) but it was plenty to go with the entree. We could have ordered slightly less food for two people and still had enough.

Overall, impressed with the menu (about half is vegan, sadly most breads are not) and variety—there are a few Indian-Chinese and indian-Thai options along with a lot of South Indian food.

Pros: Variety of vegan options, Flavorful food, good portions for price, Friendly service

Cons: Pictures are online but not on menu
