Great experience! - Edit
We never had okonomiyaki before but this tasted great! It was very filling and we loved the rice cake inside. Waiting wasn't too bad, but the place was crowded.

Delicious - Edit
This Okonomiyaki place is very famous and crowded but the atmosphere inside is amazing. I really love the old wooden style and the traditional way. They have a vegetarian and vegan menu with vegetables/cheese or only vegetables for vegans. The price for a vegan Okonomiyaki is about 1200 yen. That’s a fair and normal price. They also served an extra vegan Okonomiyaki sauce if you asked for. The taste was good but the vegan style was a little bit lame. Not so much vegetables and special.

Tbh best okonomiyaki in japan - Edit
If you had to go to one place to get vegan/vego okonomiyaki, go here. We had to wait 20 mins to get in but honestly it was so worth it - seriously, once you’ve started eating you’ll forget you even had to wait. Not too expensive.

Good tasting, not cheap, not too expensive - Edit
Really yummy, spent 1200 yen. They change the whole thing to make it vegan, it was very different to my omni friend's one, still super good

Nice traditional looking restaurant. Easy to order vegan okonomiyaki. Fun and interesting to watch them cook it in front of you!

Vegan okonomiyaki - Edit
Bustling okonomiyaki restaurant. Couple vegan options, which are mostly stripped versions of the original. Good dish, nice service, but I felt that the vegan version was missing a lot of the soul meaning they could have found more inventive options. Worth a visit, though.

Waited nearly an hour and had high hopes. It was soba noodles with cabbage, onions and garlic chips. They provided vegan sauce, that was nice. But I was very disappointed in the food.

We needed to wait in line for a short while and luckily were the last ones to be served before closing. Both my partner and I really enjoyed, I would love to go back someday.

Awesome “soul food” - Edit
This is the Hiroshima soul food - a must try for anyone visiting. Glad that we were able to try it. They cook your noodles completely separate (their normal noodles are cooked in pork), and they wipe down the grill before making your meals. They offer a traditional sauce which is also vegetable based as well. Highly recommend (vegan and vegetarian options available)

Amazing okonomiyaki - Edit
Cosy restaurant with vegan option, ate here and was lucky with only 5 minutes lines. They had two sauces that vegans could use and I loved the spicy one. Definitely one of my favorite things I did in Hiroshima.

Super toll! - Edit

Great vegan okonomiyaki experience - Edit
There’s three vegan options, all very well priced. The experience here is awesome and the sheer amount of okonomiyaki they are pumping out is very impressive to see. We had to wait about 20min to be seated but it’s well worth the wait. Taste and quality is great and there’s vegan sauce to go with it. Highly recommended when in Hiroshima. Great staff and service

Disappointed - Edit
The space and staff were lovely - they were busy but took our order while we were in the queue to speed things along. The food looked interesting so I had high hopes, but I just did not like the food. I'm definitely not a fussy eater, but it just did not taste good. I ate as much as I could to not look rude, but had to give up.

Delicious okonomiyaki! - Edit
We had to wait in a queue for about 15 minutes but definitely worth the wait. This was my our first time trying okonomiyaki and it didn’t disappoint. You get to eat it from a hot plate in the middle of your table. Definitely would recommend to all veggies and vegans.

Vegan Okonomiyaki ?!?! - Edit
It’s true ! And it was incredible !! Plus it’s Hiroshima style so they make it with yakisoba !! The staff were very friendly. It’s easy to find and close to the peace memorial. I thought I’d never be able to try Japanese okonomiyaki again until we discovered this place 👍👍

Okonomiyaki after a long queue - Edit
I reached around 6.30pm, got seated and served around 7.10. Not quite sure whether the wait was worth it as I gather from HappyCow that there were other exciting restaurants around. In any event, the okonomiyaki itself was excellent and the hospitality was great. I had the 1350 one, which had garlic chips, green onion, rice cake and corn on top. Very hearty serving. And they give two vegan sauces (one spicy, one normal) as well. Just found it slightly expensive since I had a very similar meal for lunch for 750.

Okonomiyaki - Edit
Had to try this place as so highly rated and the food was great. Have a veg/vegan menu with 6 veg options and 3 vegan. It's only small though and if there's any sort of queue outside when you turn up you could be waiting for a while. But it's a Hiroshima speciality though so worth it.

Great vegan and vegetarian okonomiyaki - Edit
I was craving something traditional in Hiroshima and this place fulfilled the craving. The menu has 3 vegan and 3 vegetarian options. Portions are large. The staff is really helpful and understands English. Get there early, the last table they give out is at 8 pm.

Amazing experience - Edit
They cook on a plate in front of you, the plate gets cleaned all the time so no worries about getting meat/animal ingredients on your food. They clearly distinguish in the menu between only vegetable/no egg/no meat, so you'll find the right food for you. Must eat in Hiroshima :)

Very cool! - Edit
So happy to have found vegan okonomiyaki! Clear vegan options, and they were sure to bring it out on a separate plate and put it away from my boyfriends non-vegan meal on the ‘stove’. Lots of other tourists when we went, but I’m sure it’s fellow vegans happy to have found this gem! :)

Bustling, popular okonomiyaki spot with vegan options - Edit
The is a very popular okonomiyaki spot in a central location in Hiroshima. They had several vegan options, and a vegan sauce to go on top. It was very tasty, although perhaps a little dry. The chefs cook the food dramatically on one side of the restaurant. Unlike many Japanese restaurants, the serving sizes are large and could happily be shared between two people. This place gets very busy with a long queue to enter so I recommend going for an early dinner (5pm or so) or a late lunch.
Read morePros: Filling, large serving sizes, Exciting, interesting atmosphere
Cons: Long queues to enter , Okonomiyaki perhaps a little dry
