I really like their food, they also have a huge variety of plates in their menu, from a pad Thai to an impossible burger, their teas are also very good, and their local is very cool and cozy. What I don’t like is the plastic containers when you order food from here, or pick up… there’s not excuse to don’t stop using plastic, there’s tons of alternatives… #Veganuary

The cabonara pasta was extremely fulfilling. I only wish they served it with bread so I could clean the plate and not waste any of the cheesy creamy sauce.
Read moreThe green curry pasta (which my friend ordered) was spicy (at least for our low spice tolerance. She ordered moderate spice level). They don’t mention it on the online menu, but if you can’t tolerate much spice, make sure you ask for mild.
The impossible burger (my other friend ordered) was good.
The quesadillas (that we all shared) were sooooo good. The vegan cheese spread they used for it was amazing and the soy chicken had a good delicious texture.
For dessert, we ordered a cheesecake and mint chocolate chip ice cream. The cheesecake tasted good, but nutty. I (the vegan) would not order again, but my friends (omnis) said they would. It was pretty small for being $5.25.
The ice cream was only 4 oz!! And it was $5.25!! Extremely overpriced for the product. Regardless, it tasted really good.
Cons: Outside eating (for covid) was near a busy road

The people at My Vegan Gold were attentive and understanding, even as I arrived to meet a friend nearing their closing time after lunch. We enjoyed great service and had the Pad Thai and the Pineapple Fried Rice, both of which were satisfying and flavorful.

Read moreHad one good dish and my friend had the Pad Thai, which was absolutely tasteless. He ate 1/3, I tried it too and really couldn’t be bothered to take It home the leftover because it was just not good.
Likewise, the waiter wasn’t bothered when I told her that the Pad Thai was really not good and that we didn’t enjoy it.
I have to add, that there’s no atmosphere to this place, rather go-eat-leave thing.
All in all I will never come back and also wouldn’t recommend it, although it’s not a terrible place.

Had the impossible burger which was solid. A little too much “cheese” for my taste but overall a good hearty meal. If I go back, I’ll get the organge chicken which is listed on the suggested meal list.

Okay, you have to try the carbonara pasta. It taste exactly like the real deal from memory. I had it a week ago and I’m still thinking about it! There fries are also amazing. Same with the fried chicken wrap and nachos! ooooh and the red velvet cupcake! I hope to stop by on my way back from NY to LA to Aus. It’s that good.

I’ve been to the Pasadena one and did not realize this was their second location! Parking was relatively easy as it’s free valet with validation.

Best vegan food in LA - Edit
I came to LA for my one week vacations and was exploring local vegan restaurants. The Vegan Gold has gigantic dishes, big choice, reasonable prices, polite and helpful staff. Food is fresh and delicious. Will be more than happy to come there again. Greetings from Poland 🙂
