Vegan eco/ health store with coffee

My Coffee Stop is really a cosy vegan health food and eco-friendly store that sells various items that can be tricky to find in Shepton, as well as cheap refills on herbs and Ecover products. They don't do homemade cakes anymore but they do have a great selection of hot and cold homemade vegan drinks, including hot chocolate with vegan marshmallows! Karen and Gunther, the owners, are super friendly and there is free WiFi.

Pros: Only vegan joint in Shepton., Friendly and welcoming., Refills and hard to source items.

Warm and friendly

This is a very cosy cafe, offering delicious vegan home made cakes, bakes and a selection of products.
The owner is hugely welcoming and each of her customers soon become friends! She will go out of her way to get you what you want, and has sourced various products for me.
I think some people can find the cosy size of the cafe a little quirky but do stay and try an amazing vegan hot chocolate and you’ll soon warm to it!

Pros: Friendly , Home made vegan cakes , The best hot chocolate lovingly made!

Homely cafe, amazing cakes and super friendly owners

I arrived at the coffee shop at 8am, not having checked the opening times as it was recommended to me for vegan cakes. I happened to run into the owner Karen and her son. She told me that she didn't have any cakes, but happily opened the shop up an hour and a half earlier and started making me some chocolate lavender cakes straight away offering that I can stay in the shop and use their wifi to do my work.
At 9.30 I took the cakes to a meeting and they went down with everybody really well (including myself). They were really tasty and quite gooey and the portion sizes were very good for £2 each.
I returned to the shop at about 1pm to pick up my case, which Karen and her husband Günther looked after and had a cup of coffee. I chatted with some of the other customers, who were all very friendly and it felt just like a friends' living room, where you can relax and have a chat and enjoy some lovely food.
Upon leaving, Karen gave me 2 lemons (every customer got some that day). A shame really that I found out about this shop so late and won't be back in Shepton for a while.

Pros: Lovely homemade cakes, Very friendly owner, Vegan products in store & zero waste detergent

Cons: Opens a little late

A bit strange!

My Mum and I were looking forward to visiting this place for lunch. However, when we walked in there were two men sitting in armchairs facing us and one of them said something like 'What do you want?', not in a welcoming way. There was also a woman there with some kids playing with toys - I think this was the family who own the place, plus a family friend. The place is just one room with sofas and armchairs - there was nowhere to sit and eat, and it felt like walking into someone's living room (but not in a good way!). We pretended to browse the few bits of vegan food on the shelves, and then left. Weird place! Didn't try the food, so can't comment on that.

Pros: Only vegan place in Shepton
