best place I have ever visited

This is ultimately the most beautiful, exotic, friendly, stylish and tasty place I have ever been to. Wish to come back. Wish to visit more places like Musa 💜

Pros: great vegan options, superfoods, open air seating

Cons: little overpriced for Indonesia

Mostly vegan, great food

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the atmosphere was good for dinner. There were many clearly marked vegan dishes. They only lose a star as we had to wait a long time for our food to come.

Best vegan spot on the island

If you ask any local where to get vegan food they will send you to Musa, and the locals definitely know best. The staff is super attentive but still have a laid back island vibe. The food is fresh and really tasty. Gyro and Bahn Mi were standouts for me. If you come to Gili Air be sure to eat here at least once !!

Pros: Lots of vegan options and really fresh

Cons: None

Delicious, delicious!

One of my best spots on the island for vegan choices & the staff is super sweet as well. Light options as well as healthier comfort dishes that don't leave you feeling sick. Don't miss the gyro and banh mai, they are drool worthy.

Pros: Free water, wifi

Can’t say enough good things. The food was amazing! The sloppy joe was heaven, burger was good and the banana bread was so delish. The setting is lovely, staff are very professional. Free water. Free water refill.

Really good burger

Review from visit in November 2019:
Had the burger here and I really enjoyed it - really tasty and the potatoes that come with it were great too. I'd personally prefer chips but it did make for a nice change.

Came back another day and had a brownie which was really good.

Pros: Lovely food, Nice vibe, Really friendly staff

Cons: None

Goid healthy food

Cons: Abgelegen, kleine Potionen

Incredible

I wish I had more time on the island to go back to try more on the menu. I haven't tasted such a delicious gyro since going vegan, it was sublime. Jackfruit gyro had roasted mini potatoes on the side. The French toast had spirulina ice cream, chia seeds, banana - absolutely delicious. The dragonfruit smoothie was served with a bamboo straw and had activated charcoal and banana - tasted more like banana than anything but still really good. There were no tables free when we got there so we were seated with another couple, this happened with a few other tables as well but no one seemed to mind. The tree house was available but our waiter said it was dirty because of the construction next door, so it stayed empty. Friendly staff, would definitely recommend.

Pros: Incredible food!, Friendly staff , Island vibe

Cons: Really wanted to sit in the tree house!

Excellent food, excellent service

I stayed in Gili Air for one week and kept returning to this place to try more because the food and drinks were both so delicious! My favourite food was the jackfruit gyros special and my favourite drink was the hot mayan cacao! The staff were the friendliest. My favourite place on Gili Air, if you’re reading this you must go!!

Pros: Loads of vegan options, Everything tasted delicious, It was a chic, friendly and clean place

Yummy!!!

We spent 4 days on Gili Air and ate lunch 3 times at Musa. Most of the menu is vegan. We had: burger, snack plate for 2, namaste bowl, moringa pancakes, brownie, peanut butter cheesecake and coconut-lime loaf. All amaziiiiing, big portions. Would definetely recommend. It's also all very health oriented, low salt and no white sugar, cheesecake only sweetend with dates. Only gripe would be espresso, which was served already warm both times I had it, which is pretty common people not knowing it should be served as soon as it is brewed. Everytime we were served with 1l of water, and got a refill.
The staff is one of the nicest ever, but we were sometimes asked 4 times if the food is OK.
However, it would be hard to find nicer people or eat better vegan food anywhere in the world we've ever been. Just yummy, it made us sad to leave Gili.

Sooo delicious. You need to try.

We've been there for breakfast and an afternoon snack. Everything we tried was very delicious. The stuff was very friendly. You'll get free water as much as need. It is normal priced. The interior is just beautiful. You'll feel comfortable. You also have the option of free WiFi.

Pros: Many vegan options, Normal priced

Awesome, with Room for Improvement

Musa has some of the best food on the island, with a few misses. The Jackfruit Gyro, Sloppy Joe, Eggplant Fries, and Snack Platter for Two were all fantastic- some of the best meals I’ve had in Indonesia. The Spring Roll Bowl, French Toast, and Cheesecake were all pretty low quality and uninspiring, with the noodles in the Spring Roll Bowl possibly being spoiled (not that that would have saved that particular meal). The Mayan Cacao and Chai Latte were both fantastic, while the Americano was just average. On our third visit, after spending quite some cash here (it’s one of the most expensive places on the island) the waiter informed us they would not fill our glasses of water because they only offer one cup of water per person per visit... really? that’s where a place that charges the highest prices on the island is going to nickel and dime patrons? Strangely, there wasn’t even an offer to purchase water. The location is beautiful and the staff is nice so overall pretty good, with some room for improvement.

Pros: Ambience, Vibe, Inventive Dishes

Cons: No Water Refills, Some Off Dishes

Perfect spot for delicious food

We had all of our dinners here during our stay on the island. Tried the sharing platter with edamame and eggplant fries (so fulfilling!), the two burgers, the jackfruit gyros. Everything was delicious! We also have a try to the desserts, cheesecake and brownie, we thought it was not worth the price. Still, the main dishes are amazing, the decor beautiful and the service great. Go check it by yourself!

Pros: Many vegan options, Great service, Beautiful place

Cons: Not the best vegan cakes

Amazing place with great vegan options, music and decor! We tried the jackfruit gyros, zucchini fries, brownie with nice cream and the coconut and lime cake. I also had the iced Chai latte. Everything was outstanding!! By far the best place I've eaten at on Gili Air. The staff are friendly, great music and decor. Absolutely love this place!!

Pros: Great vegan options, tasty, good price

Wow! Worth it!

Delicious and creative vegan food! As budget travelers we usually try to avoid fancy restaurants but this place was wonderful and we'll worth the splurge! We had the sloppy joe, Coco blt and raw brownie and loved each item! Spent $15 for those 3 items. Musa cookery was much better than other similarly priced vegan restaurants on the island. Indulge in this awesome vegan restaurant!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Creative dishes, Delicious!!!

Cons: Expensive for the area, Small portions

Quality food and worth the price

It was great to find such fresh and good quality food on the island. The spring roll bowl was filling and the peanut sauce was amazing. The chakra bowl was also very filling. We also really enjoyed the power green smoothie. Sitting in the tree house is a special treat for a little privacy.

Pros: Filling, Tree house, Healthy
