worst tofu spread ever - Edit
ordered their tofu spread twice. first time i swore it was butter and so i didn’t eat it. my partner (non vegan) also said it was butter. went back, ordered tofu spread and tried it outside, same thing. i went in and said “i think this is butter”. he gave me a spoon of their tofu spread from the vat and said that it was tofu, but just that their tofu spread was bad. it also took so long to get my bagel (multiple people made remarks on the timeliness and one man left before getting his bagel because it took so long). do not recommend for vegans!!!

Good bagels - Edit
The bagels in bagel shops in NYC tend to be really good, and this place is no exception. This place does offer a bunch of vegan smears (tofu cream cheeses, tofu “egg” salad, hummus); then again, so do most NYC bagel places (including many of those not listed on Happy Cow).
Read moreA bagel and tofu cream cheese is not that healthy—but if you want one, this place is among the places you can go to for a really good bagel with a tofu smear. I give it a mediocre rating, since I don't feel that this place stands out. But if I were visiting NYC, I admittedly would want to try a NYC bagel, and this place will certainly fill the bill.
