WONDERFUL people, they will make you food no matter what! - Edit
I am a pretty strict vegan, other than not caring much about white sugar if there aren't really alternatives. I don't like beer/wine, so unsure if there are many vegan ones in the Bahamas. At restaurants, I am nice but very thorough with my questioning and I clarify no meat, dairy, egg, honey, etc. Also had to ask about GF for my partner as he is sensitive to it (cross contamination ok) I've been vegan 10y so I know what to ask. I emailed all restaurants months beforehand and also typically reminded them within a week of our arrival. Many menus have allergens like dairy and gluten marked, but typically not diets like vegan/vegetarian. PRO-TIP: bring some staples (bread, pb, jam) because they charge like x3 as much for basic grocery items here. They do sell almond milk. There was hummus, but no tofu on the island. FYI Amber in the casino puts honey in their piña coladas and do not have vegan food options.

The staff at Murray's were happy to accomodate our diets after an awful experience at Claudio's where went with our entire family and the waitress wouldn't even send the chef over to speak with us about if they could make anything for us. We were starving and my partner and I were forced to leave to find food. I casually explained what had happened to staff at Murray's and they were extremely offended for us. They said the waitress should have sent the chef to speak with us and they offered to call the manager! They spent a few minutes calling him and left a message. Murray's saved us with outstanding food and customer service!!! I had a hard time researching if we were gonna starve when planning the vacation, but according to staff Murray's is "the go-to for allergies". Shoutout to Anya & Thomasina (front desk), Nikkita (server), and chef Rachel!!! All were incredibly caring and helpful!
Anyway, they made us the veggie wrap with hummus, but didn't put my partner's in a wrap so it would GF for him. The veggies were DELICIOUS and juicy, possibly in a veg broth. They had the best fries (seemed GF?) the whole vacation. Yum!! We ate here 2 nights in a row (2nd night was due to poor planning on NYEl

Not vegan friendly AT ALL - Edit
No vegan options except for penne pasta minus the Parmesan cheese. I spoke to management. That’s all they have. Please remove them from HappyCow.
Read moreUpdate: I sat down to have the pasta. Took one bite and nearly vomited. Had a fish taste to it. They tried to charge me $25 for the pasta which was literally just penne noodles a couple tomatoes and a disgusting sauce. After asking for the manager the server came back and said I’m good and they didn’t charge me.

Pleasant surprise in a hellish island for vegans - Edit
I was on holiday on Paradise Island with some omnivore friends and it turned out that finding a place that serves vegan food was kind of impossible. After checking nearly every meal of nearly every restaurant, we decided for Murray’s (they at least had some fruit on the menu…). However, when I asked the waitress if they could prepare anything plant-based, she immediately went to catch the chef. She was extremely friendly and excused herself multiple times for not having that many options. In the end, she prepared some fried potatoes and a great side of vegetables for me. No doubt, doesn’t sound like much, but I really appreciated that they took the time, listened to my needs, and came up with something tasty and filling.
