Must be a better option somewhere in Ballina - Edit
The staff member was knowledgeable on what dishes were vegan and helpfully pointed them out. He also helped with a dining partner who had other dietary requirements. The main issue is that the curries were just not that good. My potato curry tasted like it was a few days old, and it wasn't heated thoroughly throughout. The other diners at the table said their meals were OKish, with the same issues of lack of flavour and temperature.

In addition to having many clearly-marked vegan dishes, the kitchen offered to subsitute dairy with coconut cream for us. Great service, great food, great location.

Two vegan curries on offer. The curry with eggplants and vegetables was very tasty. A curry with potatoes and peas is also available. Some of the dahls are vegan, according to the server.

Good was nice but everything lacked basic salt seasoning, spices were great, just needed some salt. Had the pakoras, and the potato and eggplant curry with rice and pappadums

Oh! I wish I took some photos of the menu. I can't remember the names of the dishes we ate, but they were delicious.
Read moreMy companion visits this restaurant regularly and recommended the mushroom starter. We also ordered a couple of curries and rice for mains.
I'll be back to try more of their menu.
