Fast service in fast-paced part of town

This is an assembly-line food place, where you order a base, some vegetables, and a protein. The food is tasty and healthy--you order your food, grab a chair or takeout, and then wolf down your food, and there are sufficient vegan items. This is not for relaxed dining, nor a place that one would seek out to eat at. It is in one of the hectic parts of NYC, right by Grand Central Terminal, and is quite nice for lunch in a hurry or if you are catching a train and have bit of time to walk a couple of blocks. Nearby Botaniste is better, to be sure, but more expensive; Le Pain Quotidien is also nearby and more relaxed, but not so suited for those in a rush.

Health, fast options

All of the vegan items are clearly labeled. When you want something tasty, healthy, and fast, this is a great place to go. It's similar to what Whole Foods offers at its hot bar, only at Mulberry Vine it has more flavor, and you're not shocked by the weight of tofu when you check out. I ate some kale and black beans with lime. Also had some tofu and some fresh juice from the refrigerator case.
