Great Vegan food in Canberra - Edit
We were in Canberra for the National folk festival. We arrived a few days early and went to Muku, as well as a couple of other vegan places. Muku was by far the best.
Read moreThe food was fantastic.
We had the Grandmas Mochi cheese potato, the gyoza, the popcorn Zangi and the Sapporo miso ramen as well as a couple of deserts.
The Mochi potato was unbelievably good and the mushroom Zangi almost as good. The ramen was delicious also.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The deserts were pretty ordinary and next time we’ll skip desert and have more savoury.
Pros: Mochi potato, Zangi, Ramen
Cons: Ordinary deserts

Really Great - Edit
We have been twice in 2025 with small family groups, not all vegans. Everyone had a great time and thought the food was fantastic, including the non-ramen dishes. Highly recommended!

Love love - Edit
Amazing addition to the vegan scene in Canberra. Everything is beautifully presented and oh so delicious, from the inventive cocktails to the cheese mochi dumplings, mushroom karage and of course the ramen of which there are a few choicee Great to see lots of attention to gluten free. Lovely service, too.

Incredible - Edit
I was very excited to find this place and I was not disappointed. I tried a few things and loved it all. Prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. The staff were awesome as well.
Read moreI would recommend making a reservation, as it was very busy and I suspect that's not uncommon.
The only fault I can give is that it's a little cramped inside.
Pros: Excellent food, prices and service
Cons: A bit cramped inside

Delicious Everything! - Edit
We were very excited to be here and tried several different entrees, ramen mains and desserts. Everything was delicious. Service was quick, staff were friendly and helpful and could answer all our questions. They were able to talk to our coeliac diner about kitchen processes (not a gluten-free kitchen but careful to keep gluten free items apart from other items). We all loved our food and just wished we had room to try more of the delicious looking options on the menu. Keen to come back!!!

Easily the best ramen you will have! - Edit
We adore this restaurant. It is our new go to for special celebrations or just a wonderful night out. The food is incredible. The ramen is the best you will ever have and the entree dishes are so so tasty! Even the cocktail and mocktails are amazing. We love that everything is 100% vegan so we can just relax and enjoy whatever we want on the menu. The staff are so lovely and the atmosphere is amazing! We will be back here many many more times! Incredible!

vegan ramen in cbr 🍜 - Edit
Finally came here after a lot of anticipation! So grateful to now have a dedicated vegan Japanese restaurant in Canberra ❤️ I’m usually pretty happy with vegan ramen from places like White Chaco, Ramen Daddy/Canteen, Ramentic etc. but it’s soooo nice to have an all vegan restaurant with more than one vegan ramen 😭
Read moreI got the GF Zen ramen and the noodles were way better than I expected (not just rice noodles and not actually too different from the regular noodles my partner ordered), but sadly GF was an extra $5
My boyfriend got the miso tantan ramen which was also really good, kind of like a miso-y laksa, would be amazing in winter
Also the online ordering/menu wasn’t working on either of our phones (and they didn’t have printed menus) so I would advise having a good look at their online menu before going in so that you have time to consider all the delicious options! Hopefully they will have a printed version at some point😄
Pros: Actually good GF noodles, Multiple ramen options!, Atmosphere and lovely staff
Cons: GF is expensive :(, Only open Wed-Sat atm!

First rate food and service! ❤️ - Edit
I went to their opening night and had previously attended a pop up night. Their food is AMAZING, absolutely delicious and I will be going back again and again. Really hanging out for a sesame miso ramen I had at a popup to make it onto the permanent menu, but the tantan is divine in the interim!

So happy Muku is finally open! - Edit
After teasing us with some amazing pop up events, Muku has opened its doors in its permanent location. It’s currently walk in only, but not to fear the wait time isn’t long. Food is delicious! Service is very friendly. Currently non-alcoholic beverages (try the fantastic mocktails).
