Fresh & flavourful Thai - Edit
Delicious meal. Started with the Fresh Rolls, enjoyed the Tom Ka Noodles, Drunken Noodles, and Green Curry. Every dish had unique and delicious flavours and spices. The Drunken Noodles were a touch spicy and absolutely perfect. The other two were milder. Finished with the excellent Mango Stocky Rice dessert. Would order all these again.

Good - Edit
It was good but not great. I went here when they first opened and it was so spicy I never went back. Ordered delivery from them today and it wasn’t spicy at all, it actually didn’t have much flavour. I will definitely try again, maybe it was an off day? I like that it is a fully vegan Thai restaurant so you don’t have to worry about fish sauce. The vegetables in the dishes were really fresh. Textures were good! I was just surprised by how bland it was.
Read morePros: Fully vegan, The mango dessert, Papaya salad was really fresh
Cons: Either too spicy or not spicy at all, Pad Thai was a little too sweet

New Favourite Place - Edit
Update : the northern larb fried rice is so incredible!!! So flavourful , I will be getting this again and again.
Read moreMThe food is so delicious and the ingredients taste so fresh.
I believe that the owners are the ones who are cooking and working the cash. You can see them making the food and it appears to be made from scratch.
It's a very nice atmosphere - quite casual.
Highly recommend.
It is not a full-service restaurant. You pick up your meal at the cash and can either sit down and eat or take it to go.

Very hit or miss - Edit
I wanted to love this place and gave it many tries but stopped trying. The last time, I chose something mild and it was so spicy I couldn't eat it and I can usually tolerate spice well. They have also cancelled my Ritual orders a couple of times because they were out of ingredients.

One of the best places in Toronto - Edit
Mugi is one of my favourite Toronto restaurants. The food has a fantastic depth and richness. My favourite dish is the massaman curry, it has a high level of spice (no jokes) and a great combination of textures and flavours. If you see rolls as an option, I'd highly recommend trying them!

Delicious & Zero Waste - Edit
I love Mugi, because their food is delicious, and it always makes you feel good.
Read moreThey partnered with Inwit, a startup piloting a zero-waste takeout ordering platform.
I signed up for Inwit a couple of months ago and decided it was time for Thai food. The Inwit website placed an order at Mugi for Green Curry and Drunken Noodles. Then I got an email saying the order was accepted and another one when the order was ready for pick up. I walked in the door at Mugi, and just inside the door, there was my order in these beautiful reusable containers. So I grabbed it, gave the owners a wave, and returned home with my delicious food. These beautiful containers are insulated, so hot food is kept hot, the cold food is kept cold. Zero spills.
You have 7 days to rinse out and return those dishes to any participating restaurant. They have a scannable tag on these containers, so they know who you are when you drop the dishes off.
Hopefully, more restaurants will get on board with it soon, but I am grateful that Mugi is part of it.

Awesome Thai veggie food - Edit
We noticed this hole-in-a-wall place a while back and decided to try it t tryo celebrate a child’s graduation during the pandemic. Wow! The dishes were some of the best Thai food I have had. The spicing was perfect! We had green curry, satay tofu, pad Thai, drunken rice, kimchi, and mango salad. Every dish was superb and they didn’t use fake meat - just awesome veggie dishes! Mugi is now going to be a more regular part of our routine!!

My Favourite. - Edit
One of, if not my all time favourite vegan place in Toronto. Their khao soi in particular is to die for. Extremely fresh-tasting ingredients, and super friendly staff. More of a takeout place, but they do have a few chairs and tables for dining in.

Not worth the bucks - Edit
Overall taste was good, however portion was small and there just wasn’t enough toppings.. Chaiya phad thai had small tofu pieces($13.95) and sadly did not fill my cravings. It was mostly noodles. Northern veggie medley was more like soup than curry(It does say it’s light curry). Flavour was good but was not to my liking. Mango sticky rice was okay again half of mango(5pieces) for $8.50.. not sure if it’s worth it. One thing that was good is that lots of items here are vegan. I wish they would put more generous portions of toppings!

This is a terrific little place. Just south of Bloor St W and Bathurst St. Innovative. Delicious. Authentic flavouring. Nutritious. Compostable to go containers and beautiful dishes for in-restaurant dining. Small place. Nice, charming vibe.

Simple tasty Thai food - Edit
The place is chill, you just walk in and order. Food is interesting and not the Thai food I'm used to eating. Tasty and different. I've been several times and always happy. Really nice couple who own Mugi.

Super fresh and flavorful - Edit
Amazing Thai food! Thai is my favorite go to vegan cuisine, but Mugi stands out in it's flavours and freshness - it has a home cooked meal quality. The quality of the ingredients make a big difference and give the dishes a unique flavour. We got the Khao Soy and Hang Leh jackfruit curry, both were delicious! You can choose your own spice level; Spicy means true Thai spicy, so be warned!
