So disappointed - Edit
Really wanted to like this restaurant but sadly they are missing the mark. It is not up scale at all. It is a glorified cafe with bar dance music. We were seated under a speaker and asked to turn down music, we were allowed to move but the music was not reduced. The music choice is great if you are working in back of house or want to break out dance moves but is not consistent for guests dining experience. Disappointed that menu contains almost zero protein. We ordered 2 bottles of sparkling water and received 1 flat water. So already 2 misses on service. We ordered the Thai salad which was exactly 4 tiny lettuce leaves and a quarter cup of rice. Then Spinach cannelloni and Almond Ravioli. None of the food was remarkable in flavor. Plating was ok but clearly sat before served. Portions were small leaving us hungry. Pasta was tough and textures lacking. Also 2 large dogs came in. While this is consistent with custom it furthered our point. It is an overpriced cafe that is trying to be all things to all people. For the price point it was a disappointment. Judging from 5 star reviews, they have issues with leadership. A month ago was quiet with and attentive service and today was nightclub vibe with terrible service.

Delicious very special food - Edit
The food was really beautifully done. The least interesting thing was the free seed cracker they give you at the start, everything else was absolutely delicious. The staff are very attentive and the vibe is calm and quiet - a bit like a posh spa or beauty parlour - so a bit difficult to chat without feeling a bit self conscious! But all very nice.

We were under no impression that this was a restaurant that won a Michelin - Edit
Beautiful restaurant and great service, it was very pleasant to sit. We were expecting for more GF options on the menu... Also the cooking techniques were full of mistakes, So we didn't feel there was value for the high price...

Underwhelming - Edit
Overall, the experience was quite disappointing, particularly given the price point. The restaurant lacks refinement, and several of the dishes from our two visits were simply inedible.
Read moreThe chanterelles, for example, were poorly cleaned and filled with grit. They had also been soaked in water for too long, leaving them mushy and bland, and they were also undercooked. Worse still, some of the soil had spread into the risotto, adding an unpleasant crunch to the dish.
The other catastrophe was the Schnitzel which turned out to be a deep-fried blob of I’m-not-entirely-sure-what with no sauce.
The best dishes were the Amazonia roll, the California roll, and the tacos. The remainder of the dishes during our two dinners were either bland and forgettable or outright inedible.

I had one of the best lunches ever at Mudra! The artichokes, chanterelle and truffle risotto and chocolate desert were so delicious! I am going back tomorrow as it was so incredible!

Usual suspect - Edit
I enjoy Matthew Kenny’s concepts but always end up wanting more and more. My loved ones and I used to frequent his restaurant in San Francisco named Baia that unfortunately shuttered.
Read moreThis meal was pretty great but each dish just lacked a little something that’s hard to pin point. Maybe salt here, spice there, less sweet here.
We ordered quite a bit:
Amuse buse - picked veggies and fruit; too much vinegar and strawberries had an interesting taste…
Roasted artichokes - amazing
Watermelon ceviche meets gazpacho - nice and refreshing
Miso butter onions - probably the best starter
Bangkok Thai Salad - meh, with black rice and thick yogurt, was almost like a currieless rice dish on romaine
Uramaki dragon roll - way too sweet
New Orleans roll - good but just different
Pad Thai - poor excuse for pad Thai, no where near authentic at all
Capalecia Nero - Pasta stuffed with roasted pumpkin, sage and mandarin with hazelnut and black garlic cream. This reminded me of great times with loved ones. That fried sage just hits differently
Risotto funghi and tartufo - really nice flavor, not overwhelming truffle flavor but the dish actually wasn’t very hot/warm.
Schnitzel -Shiitake mushroom and seed mix milanese. With crispy rosti potatoes.
This was a really nice dish that I haven’t had like this before. Seeds were a great addition to the breading and the rosti potatoes were amazing, nice and crispy, moist inside! First time having those.
Everyone enjoyed their alcoholic beverages, but when I got to the end of my old fashioned, I found a tons
Of undissolved sugar at the bottom that I was slightly taken back by.
Overall pretty good experience, but not totally wowed. I’ve had better culinary experiences, flavor wise, from non vegan places. As mentioned before, the presentation and plating is really nice, but the dishes themselves lack the flavor wow factor to hit this out of the park.
Pros: Plating and presentation, Inventiveness, Ambiance
Cons: Lack of full attention to flavor profile

Superbly presented - Edit
Had a wonderful evening at Mudra. Started off with a delicious non alcoholic cocktail piña colada style and then had one of the nicest starters-alcachofas in a creamy sauce. Gorgeous. We then went for the schnitzel which you need to share and which I really enjoyed but it was huge and my wife thought it was a little too much fried food in one sitting. But we enjoyed it overall. For dessert I had the cheesecake which again was great. My wife had the lemon curd dessert which she enjoyed but I tried a bit and it was a tad too sweet and savoury clubbed together for me. The setting is great and the staff lovely. It’s expensive, no doubt but it’s rare to find a vegan fine dining outlet anywhere so I won’t be complaining. I’d definitely go back for a treat next time we’re in Madrid.

MK’s cuisine never fails to impress me!

Staff (especially the girl) is very detail-oriented.
Bathroom smelled so good.

As excellent as the first time I visited 👌🏻

Interesting food, but maybe a bit underwhelming - Edit
I want to say that previous to going to the restaurant, I had no assumptions on the quality of food. But at the doors you see the two Michelin stars this place received and suddenly you're expecting the best food you've ever had. And maybe that's the issue.
Read moreWhile the dishes were certainly unique in flavour using a combination of ingredients not often seen, the taste itself didn't impress me a crazy amount. The flavours are great, plating well done, but I expected somewhat more.
The uramaki dragon sushi itself was wonderful, but I personally didn't care for the passion fruit sauce, it felt out of place and too sweet (part of the out of the ordinary cuisine i understand, but didn't work for me).
The capellaci Nero had a combination of flavours I have not tasted before, and I quite liked, but it was only 4 pieces.
The interior of the restaurant is nice and minimalist, with a cute garden at the windows, so that was nice.
Overall, good food, but perhaps I don't quite understand what qualifies for a Michelin star and thus was disappointed somewhat.
And it's very expensive as well.
Pros: Great sushi, Unique ingredients combinations, Nice atmosphere with attentive staff
Cons: Expensive for the smaller portion sizes, Every dish had flowers on it for extra fanciness

What a fancy vegan experience - Edit
I went with my my bf and mum right after my graduation as a sort of “special-occasion treat” and I have to say it was the fanciest dining experience ever hahaha. I don’t know how much it cost exactly but once in a while it is really worth it considering it’s a two-star michelin. The dessert, risotto, artichoke and sweet cocktail were my absolute faves. Also, the creativity of each dish was something that made it feel so elevated. Would love to try more of their sushi.

Delicious vegan sushis and salad! - Edit
Expensive but great quality vegan restaurant - the Amazonia rolls were amazing (16e for 8 ;). Wish the place existed in a without-12-flowers-placed-with-a-tweezer-on-each-plate version to be more accessible but I guess that would take pleasure away from the chefs (and lose some of its Instagrammable potential) and for a European capital it is still affordable!

Demasiado caro - Edit

Outstanding food, highly pricey - Edit
I really loved everything we tried here. I came with my family so we were able to try many different dishes. Everything that we tried was super tasty, original and well thought of. However it is very pricey which doesn't make sense for the portion sizes most dishes have. Also, the menu is not super long.

Just ok - Edit
Stunningly beautiful presentation but nothing really wowed in terms of flavor. The menu lacks focus (sushi and…schnitzel?) and felt fairly random. Everything tasted pretty good but nothing I haven’t had elsewhere. Also this is a minor gripe but there is something so unpleasant about QR code menus especially at a fancy expensive restaurant. Good but felt overpriced for the experience!

The food was pretty, the serving was good as well, the portion sizes are decent.

We went to celebrate a family birthday and it was a hit. Except for the sushi (which was mediocre), all other dishes were vibrant and creative, and very fresh.
