Excellence on Broadway - Edit
We had a show to see on Broadway and we wanted some vegan eats. We took a non-plant couple so we were concerned how our friends would react to this vegan spot. The food was so good we all wanted to stay and skip the play.

So good we visited twice. The Asian burger is glorious, not like any burger I’ve had before. So tasty! The vibe of the restaurant is fab, and the food/drinks do not disappoint. Great service!

Fast and Delicious - Edit
We chose Mother because it was close to our hotel. We were very pleased with our meal. We both had the Barbecue Beyond Burger with sweet potato fries. My husband was thrilled because he has to be gluten free and they had a very tasty vegan gluten free bun for his burger. This would be a great place to take a family because of the kid friendly menu. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely go again if we are ever in the neighborhood.

My fiancé and I decided to visit MTHR Vegan after mass. It’s a quick walk from Times Square and provides ample seating outside as well as some spaces inside. The ambiance is great and the server was very friendly.
Read moreI ordered the vegan chick’n nuggets and my fiancé got the buffalo burger. The burger is good and has a nice bit of spice. Fiancé would get it again. My chick’n nuggets, however, left a lot to be desired. While I liked that they were tofu-based and came with two side sauces, the price tag for such a SMALL portion is not okay. The nuggets might be a nice appetizer, but I definitely could not eat them for a meal, even though I’m a petite woman with lesser caloric needs. I tried the BBQ sauce and Korean bbq-style sauce. Both were fine.
Overall, it’s a laid back place with some cool vegan comfort food options. My fiancé and I thought the flavors were good, but we were both hungry after the meal.
Also, we never got our dessert that we ordered and we had to remind them about it. Not a big deal. The desserts we ordered were the salted caramel chocolate almond cookie and the brownie. I did not like the brownie because of the added cinnamon. The texture was closer to fudge which fiancé and I enjoyed, I just wasn’t a fan of the flavor. If you like cinnamon in your brownies and a fudgier texture, you’ll love the brownies here! The cookie, on the other hand, was fabulous! I enjoyed the flavor and texture. It was also a great size for sharing. Fiancé also enjoyed the cookie.

Tucked in a courtyard with lots of outdoor and indoor seating, this is a great place for lunch. We only had drinks and cookies which were served really fast. If we had been in NYC longer, we would have gone back.

We saw this on the happy cow app and omg Its amazing! I got the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. The maple sriracha mustard that came with the fries was so good too! My mom got the brunch French toast and was also really happy with her meal! This place is a must 😊

Stopped in while visiting the city and got the nacho beyond burger and brownie. They were mind-blowingly delicious- I could not get over how tasty that burger was. The brownie was sinfully fudgy. Will be going back there next time I visit the city!

The food was so good we visited two times during our trip. We tried the jackfruit tacos, nacho burger and MTHR cruncher burger. Everything was unforgettable and my partner had the MTHR cruncher burger twice – it was ammmmazing!

the hubbz and i loved our meal here. we wanted to order as much as possible, and the friendly cashier was helpful in guiding our selection: he was knowledgable about the menu and all of his recommendations were spot-on. note that although the facebook menu says they serve the impossible burger, when we arrived, they served the beyond burger; maybe this has changed? in any case, the deep-fried tofu was awesome (totally crispy coating that was well-flavored), killer fries (regular and sweet potato), and awesome deep-fried cauliflower. even though the burger was not a homemade patty, it was nicely dressed, and the gluten-free bun was good, too. they outsource dessert, which we did not eat. clearly, this is not health food, folks, and it is worth every morsel! we are excited to return.

Read moreI came here with my bf (Mick) on a Summer Friday, eager to see what all the hype around this place is. And they did not disappoint. The server with the pink hair and perfect teeth was soooo nice and knowledgeable and accommodating. I got the Mushroom Tacos and they, along with the chips, were SO good! So many different spices and flavors, it was a very well constructed and balanced dish. And the two were super filling! Mick (not a vegan, btw) got the Beyond Classic and couldn’t believe it wasn’t real meat. He also got the cauliflower wings and (even tho they aren’t gluten free I COULDN’T resist so I had a teeny tiny bite) and they were honestly, not only the best cauliflower wings I’ve had, better than the real wings I used to eat.

So obviously, I got one of every baked good (four) and had bites of each and then Mick polished them off, since I was already about 1,000 calories deep and still going strong. The Coconut Topped Brownie and the Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk cookie are tied for my favorite. I literally had to sit back and stop chewing for a sec to comprehend this was vegan. Then the Chocolate Almond Cookie and the other brownie. Both KILLER as well!
I’m so so SO impressed; not only with the food, but the quality of ingredients, speed of service, and kindness of staff! This is definitely one of my new favorite spots 😍 1000/10!

The mushroom tacos and "Mother Cruncher" burger were both tasty. Orders were filled quickly, too. They had a variety of other things on the menu that look tantalizing. I'll definitely be going back to try... well, probably everything.

Read moreI had the Chicken Fried Tofu Sandwich, and as I said in the title it wasn't the healthiest but it was delicious!! The tofu is fried in a nice chicken fried steak batter, then they top it with slaw, chipotle mayo, and buffalo sauce.
I'll definitely go back when I'm in the mood for comfort food and would highly recommend.
