Decent vegan fast-food, good location - Edit
The food here is decent, of the fast-food sort, counter server. All vegan, fake meats (with stuff made from Beyond Burger, etc. rather than in their Kitchen). The servers are friendly, and food tastes okay, if not over-healthy. The best thing about this place is that this is close to Broadway, and before a show there are limited choice in the area (and because things get crowded pre-show, you don't want to have to walk far). Based on the food itself, I would probably give this three cows, I raise it to four cows owing to the location.
Read moreUpdate: this place has changed its location to the Upper East Side. I have tried to order online from them, but they are not open at the times listed (or else their website is broken?)--evidently, they are having some growing pains. I will try again and improve my star rating if they fix website/ever actually open.

WOW - Edit
WOW! I had heard good things about MTHR but hadn’t tried it until tonight. The Nashville chicken burger is out of this world. Almost couldn’t believe it was vegan. The cauliflower wings are also the best I’ve had. Not too much batter fried but just crispy enough. Salad was also delicious as was the Baja fish tacos and the coconut curry bowl. The latter was almost like a tikka masala. can’t wait to keep trying more things from here! Also love that they use sustainable packaging!

The BEST Plant Based Chicken - Edit
I got their spicy chicken burger (forgot what it’s called exactly) and their chicken nuggets. Combined with their vegan sauces made a very memorable meal at a very chill spot.

More like “comfort food” - bring your reusable straw and utensils. - Edit
Always enjoy visiting dear MTHR . Post quarantine it seems even more comforting. The salad abundantly lovely with radishes ,tomatoes, peppers, chickpeas and your voice of protein. The crispy cauliflower has a light homemade taste.
Read moreNoticed that previous reviews are calling MTHR Junk food and I think most J food junkies would call it fast casual “health food”.
So happy that there’s more vegan options in midtown. The Ceasar salad was yummy and fresh - vegan cheese and croutons topped with “chicken fried tofu”. The cauliflower “wings” are fried morsels of pure deliciousness akin to hush puppies. We all need some vegan comfort in midtown Yo. Nice staff too..

Thank you for being open - Edit
It was the first vegan restaurant I found still open while here as a nurse during the covid period. So I couldn't decide between the fried chicken sandwich, the BBQ beyond burger or the cauliflower wings. So we had all 3 and they were all great.

Delicious - Edit
Delicious food, good amount of options, all vegan, highly recommend the tater tots and the tofu coconut curry bowl. Only downside is the small amount of tables available to eat in. Another downside is that it isn’t not the most eco-friendly place as all served in single-use items.

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
I’m not big on vegan burgers in general but these were super yummy! The cauliflower wings are a must as well—perfectly executed and not soggy and sad like at most other places where I’ve had them. The space is small and casual with limited seating packed close together. Lots of outdoor seating but it’s only as good as the weather permits.

Best burgers and lemonade in NYC - Edit
There’s a reason I went to Mthr Vegan 5 times during an 8 day stay in NYC - it’s a true 5 star gem. My personal favourite is the Impossible Classic, with cheese and seitan bacon added (2 bucks each) but they’re so worth it. I’ve sampled 7 or 8 items from the menu and it’s a rare place I can say I liked absolutely everything that went in my mouth from this place.
Read moreStaff recognised we had become ‘regulars’ albeit temporary ones and were always chatty when we went in. I see great things in the future for this business, maybe only 1 burger joint in NYC comes close to matching what they have on offer here.
Pros: Fully vegan, Exceptional quality food and great prices, Friendly, helpful staff

The vegan Mothership - Edit
I was so excited to realize upon arrival that the last time I went to this same spot was almost 5 years ago when it was a burger spot...the vegan revolution ensues!!
Read moreI got the morning brunch sandwich with the Just Egg, sausage, Cheeze, avocado, lettuce and tomato with an upgrade of sweet potato fries. It was DELICIOUS and the maple sriracha mustard it came with was the bomb diggity. My manfriend had the Beyond Nacho and really enjoyed it. Drew was very gracious and attentive. Would definitely come back!!
Pros: All vegan!!, Delicious , Friendly service
Cons: Need more locations-(come uptown to Harlem!)

Pretty good! - Edit
No complaints, food was good! Moderately priced, especially for the area where they could probably easily get away with charging more. Entirely vegan menu, which I always love so I don’t have to ask what’s in stuff. Will definitely return at some point. Side note, I love that this place used to be a regular burger joint and that they changed over to a vegan only menu. Bold move, I see you MTHR.

Great Food - Edit
The food was really great, really fresh. It's a small, tight space. I recommend the fried tofu sandwich, it was awesome!! Also their cocktails are pretty strong, not for the faint of heart. I'd definitely go back.

Vegan burgers and junk food - Edit
Not feeling like you only want salad? Come here, have some salad, and have a burger and a whoopie pie. Ok, they have rice bowls, which seem healthy, but who really wants a rice bowl with "curry tofu" when you can have a Beyond burger on a gluten-free bun with fries or sweet potato fries or Beyond burger crumbles on nachos? Then there's of course, the classic taco option with cauliflower or bbq jackfruit or mushrooms - the three best fillings for vegan tacos, if you ask me! And then order the guacamole and chips to match.
Read moreThis place was awesome. I was very happy. The food came out quickly. The health aspect maybe not as high as just a salad and rice bowl could be, but that's ok. Sometimes, you have to junk out. I loved the gluten free holiday whoopie pie, too - peppermint candy cane filling! So good!
Prices are fair. Food is fresh. People are chill. Space is hipster vegan "I don't really care" decor. But really, come for the food!
Pros: Gluten-free vegan junk food, Gluten-free vegan whoopie pie

So, so delicious and love that it’s all vegan. We had the cauliflower tacos, chips and salsa, French fries, Beyond burger, Cracked Wheat Mother burger, Nashville hot chick’n sandwich and the Mother salad with chick’n fried tofu. Everything was fantastic! Love the chipotle aioli sauce, perfect for dipping the fries in. Staff was super friendly and courteous.
