Only Chinese in Wigan town with decent vegan options - Edit
I always order the mock chicken satay skewers and mock crispy duck. These are tasty and reliably so however I have found a different Chinese that does more choices only 30 minutes away. Try Wing Fung in Leigh, I feel like you get more for your money there.
I don’t think i’ve seen a Chinese restaurant with so much choice for vegans! They have a great variety of vegetable as well as mock meat dishes including vegan chicken and duck, the only thing i’ve tried I didn’t enjoy was the deep fried tofu, however just get the salt & pepper tofu instead as it’s much nicer. My favourite is the vegan duck pancakes though, I can’t resist ordering them every time!
Ordered a takeaway online to collect - you can get 10% off by placing your order online. Had some really delicious salt and pepper tofu to start that I could eat over and over again. I didn’t enjoy my main course which was soy chicken in satay sauce - like the review prior to this one I felt it was pale and slimey. I was hoping for better. I’m 100% going to go back to give another dish a go. I’m excited that there’s so much to choose from. I just haven’t found my favourite dish yet.
We always order takeaway from here, it's easily the best place to eat veggie and vegan Chinese in Wigan. The first time we ordered I got the v chicken chow mein and it wasn't very good, pale and a bit slimey BUT we've had nothing but exceptional food from there since. The v chicken satay skewers, teriyaki tofu, v chicken katsu, salt and pepper tofu/ beancurd, veggie spring rolls. All of it is delightful! Just avoid that v chicken chow mein and you'll have a lovely tea
