Class sausage rolls

Really tasty sausage roll and ham sandwich! Only complaint was that the selection was very limited but that was due to the time of day!

Just fabulous

Mr Fox is a hidden gem tucked away in a city laneway.

A full 50% of the case was dedicated to vegan options, both savoury and sweet. No açai bowls here - we're talking things like popcorn chick'n bagels and custard croissants.

Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to walk through the vegan options.

Very reasonably priced especially considering the city location - we got two bagels, two hot drinks, and two pastries for $47.30.

Pros: Many (interesting!) vegan options, Friendly and knowledgeable staff

Cons: Items not labelled - need to ask staff, Seating available but can be limited

Great vegan croissants

On a visit to Adelaide City 15 June 2021, I passed a coffee shop signboard that advertised vegan croissants. I was curious as to how they tasted. I have had other vegan croissants that have been really bread like and dense; not like original.
I tried a few at Mr Fox and I recommend the vegan custard (sweet) $6.50 and the vegan meatball (savoury) croissant (about $10.90). It is better if you have them heated up so the outside pastry becomes crispy and flakey. They are not made on site, but are sourced from a proper bakery (which is not Coles).

The lady who runs the shop is not vegan but is very friendly. She said she was getting in different vegan options that sounded interesting but as I was travelling through I didn't get to explore these. I wanted to try the almond one that was on offer too but ran out of time.

Pros: Unusual selection of vegan croissants, Friendly service

Cons: Stock small quantities to keep them fresh , Savoury ones pricy but the meatball is worth it
