Great falafel and salad - Edit
This is a very traditional/authentic place. Don’t expect luxury - there is no menu and no price list just falafel. The man will give you a little box and you can fill with salad which was great and then you can add salad to the falafel in pita. Really cool cheap place

He's the best - Edit
Mr. Falafel might be the best restaurant in Brussels. Understated, kind of a hole in the wall, but with the best falafel salad selection around and the friendliest owner who makes you smile no matter if you speak the same language or not. When I went there the deal was you could go back for seconds of salad if you wanted to. Not sure if that's still the case, but if it is, Mr. Falafel still rocks.

Cheap and cheerful - Edit
It's a very cheap cheerful falafel. It has a cafe/canteen style seating and the bread is standard small circular brown pita bread with nice enough falafel balls. You get that with a separate box where you can choose from a wide variety of salad fillers and saucers.
Read moreIt's one of the cheapest meals I had in Brussels so it's very good value. However, the falafel itself, despite the the wide variety of the salad bar, is still standard kebab style fare and not very special.
Pros: good value for money, lots of variety in the fillers
Cons: canteen style seating, could use some tabouli

Yummy falafels ! - Edit
If you want to grab a quick meal in the city centre, you should go there. It's a fuss free place, really affordable with only one option: one pita bread filled with tasty homemade falafels and a make-your-own salad buffet. If you're vegan you have to ask the staff which preparation is vegan or not, same for the sauces. They knew what 'vegan' meant when I went so that's always a plus. It's a snack type of place, it's not very cosy but the taste and the price (5€) offsets it. I want more places like this.

Simply delicious. - Edit
My partner and I were looking for a quick filling evening meal. We were not disappointed. He makes the falafel when you order so it's fresh out of the fryer. The falafel is really soft and moist, not dry like you find in a supermarket. Also, the guy who owns the place is lovely!

Pros: Rapport qualité prix, Falafels vraiment bons, Salad bar
Cons: Un peu excentré, "sur place" un peu désuet, pas de liste des ingrédients utilisés

Only cash! This place’s amazing! Vegan friendly, just skip the yoghurt. The falafel is served in a pita and you fill it up yourself with salad etc. Small place with just a few seats.

Amazing falafel, disgusting salads - Edit
The falafel itself was amazing, one of the best I've ever had, but the salad was one of the worst. There were at least 5 flies just flying on and around all the salads, it made me disgusted by it. The price for a falafel salad was 5€, so it's not even that cheap. I don't think I'd go again

Dirt cheap but good falafel sandwich - Edit
The place looks terrible, the salad bar not so fresh for some of it, and there's no indication of what is vegan or vegetarian. Apart from that, it's dirt cheap and the falafels and pita are really, really good. A good snack place.

Crudités à volonté ! - Edit
La rue ne donne pas forcément envie, mais les falafels et les galettes sont faites maison, la dame est très souriante, le prix est bas et les crudités gratuites à volonté ! Deux fois qu'on y va, un bon spot à connaître :)

Best falafel in Brussels - Edit
Small place with 4 tables. This is specific for small bistros that sell falafel. You get falafel in a bread bun with a salad on the side. For the salad you choose your own veggies and for the falafel you can choose things sauce. The falafel is one of the best I've ever eaten, it was smoothy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, very flavoured. The owner was very friendly. There were local people eating there as well.

Cozy place to stop by and get one of the best falafel quickly served. Just be careful with the sauces, except the tahini one, others might not be vegan.

Friendly owner, make sure you have cash, get the falafel - Edit
Very cheap spot with very good falafel. There are two options: a plate of food or a falafel pita sandwich. I got both but you should get the falafel only. The plate has pasta, rice, lentils mixed together with some tomato sauce and fried onions over the top. It's not terrible but it's not nearly as good as the falafel. The owner doesn't speak much English and he's super friendly. We didn't realize it was call only until after we ate and it was time to pay. I searched all around for an atm but no luck. My buddy was eating nearby so he hooked me up with some cash.

We definitely enjoyed the falafel pita we bought there for just 5€! The falafel were super tasty and fresh and we were able to choose as much veggies as we like to fill in the pita (which is wholegrain, I guess - super yummy!).

Cheap falafel - Edit
This is the cheapest meal you will find in Brussels. It is a great value for the money.
Read moreThey place it in a whole grain pita bread, so that is a plus. Also you are able to put as much salad and toppings into it and eat it on the side.
It is owned by the Egyptians and they are super kind. I loved coming by for a falafel sandwich every now and then.
Pros: Good value for the money, Lots of salad, fast
Cons: falafel itself, no music

Nice falafel - Edit
Not so much to say really, nice falafel, good selection of salads and fresh veggies to go with it. Friendly service. I've been here many times and probaly will continue to go here regularly.
Read moreYou get your salad in a seperate bowl, which seems confusing to some reviewers. But since you also get a fork you can scoop as much in your pita as you want. I really don't understand how that could be a problem. It's not like they force you to eat the salad and pita seperately or something :-)

Brussels classic - Edit
I love Mr Falafel. I was a regular guest here during my first stay in Brussels (2012) and I go there from time to time now, when I happen to be in the city centre. It's very good value for money - 5 euros and you always leave the place full. For that you receive freshly made falafel in a whole grain pita + a plastic box for you to fill with the salads of your choice. The owners do not mind you re-filling the box. Some of the salads and the garlic sauce are not vegan. There is however a tahini and spicy sauce that are both vegan and you can have as much hummus as you want with your sandwich. Highly recommended!
Read morePros: good price, tasty, big portions
Cons: not really a nice place to sit and relax
