Delicious coffee.

Loads of vegan cakes available and they also have a few vegan options on the menu. Loads of milk alternatives. Haven't eaten hot food there but the coffee and cakes are amazing.

Great food

I love this cafe, they always do super tasty food and coffee. The brunch and lunch menus have good vegan options, pictured is the no avo bagel from the brunch menu and the vegan feta is lush. There’s always a huge selection of vegan cakes but get there early as they sell out! The staff are largely nice but aren’t the most accommodating to changes from the listed menu dishes. The cafe is also small in size and this can also cause further tension between staff and customers. I have been on three different occasions (once a year) and this has appeared to be a problem each time. I understand high pressure working environments but people just want to visit as the food is so good! Shame the atmosphere doesn’t always match this.

Pros: Food, Coffee, Beautiful little cafe

Cons: Gets very busy, Cakes sell out, Grumpy staff

Amazing Vegan Loaded Bagels!

Mr Cooper’s Coffee House has so many vegan options, it’s a must visit for anyone veggie/vegan visiting Whitby. I went a few times and tried the No Avo Bagel (soo delicious with courgette and pea puree spread, vegan feta, sunblush tomatoes, salad, fruit…so good!), the Mediterranean Salad with Vegan Feta (also delicious with loads of different things in like berries, plum slices, pecans, green beans…), and the Double Layer Frangipani Almond Croissant (oh wow what!! Incredible and could have been split between two but I couldn’t stop eating it). They also do REALLY good coffee. I always get a latte with oat milk and it’s really really nice coffee. I would give it all 5 stars if I could but they also have salmon on the menu so I can’t even though 90% menu is vegan/veggie.

Pros: Best coffee in town, Amazing loaded bagels, Good breakfast options to takeaway

Cons: It can get quite busy

Unreal !

Popped in for a coffee as noticed the milk alternatives through the window and ended up getting brunch! Had the banana and choc chip loaf and my partner had the pbj banana bagel. Both were sooo good. I absolutely loved mine ! Honestly one of the nicest brunches I’ve ever had. Staff were so lovely as well. Such a great vegan selection as well.

Pros: Lots of options, Lovely staff, Reasonable prices

Spoilt for (delicious) choice

TASTE: Super healthy and delicious vegan bagels on offer. With amazing flavour pairings and even cute little side salads with fresh fruit and homemade dressings!
The almond croissant was top notch, the Jaffa cake and Brookie were good but a little dry.

OPTIONS: a huge range of vegan bakes, only about 2 were not vegan in the whole cabinet!!!

ATMOSPHERE: cute, inviting cafe with kind helpful staff, even a little shop selling cute candles, coffee beans and totebags.

Pros: Bagels, Fresh Side salads , Quick service

Excellent food and cakes!

Amazing bagel, had the Argy Bhaji bagel and the vegan Mac and Cheese bagel, which arrived with a very nice side salad.

The coffee was also great, and came with a mini jammy dodger.

The cakes were also excellent and there were so many options for vegans.

We had the maple pecan pie and an Oreo cookie bar which were both great.

Would 100% recommend and visit again.

Perfect for those with a sweet tooth

Always try to make the effort to pop in when I’m in the area. Love love love all the sweet treats I can choose from. I turned up rather late on a Sunday afternoon and still managed to pick up a couple of bits (with probably another half a dozen options). If I’d made it in earlier, the helpful lady said the entire first counter and the top shelf of the next was all vegan, so they do make sure they have plenty of choice for us!

The only thing stopping me from rating it 5 stars is I’m yet to sit in! But once I do, I’ll be sure to amend.

Pros: Plenty of choice , Outdoor seating , Kind, helpful staff

Cool Coffee House

Very welcoming and cool coffee house, with very good vegan choices, all clearly labelled.

The 3 of us shared a twice baked almond frangipan croissant, oreo cookie and cream cake, and a carrot cake, which were soooooo delicious. My wife enjoyed the croissant so much, she went back again to buy another one for her breakfast the next day!

Coffees are great too and I loved the circa 2004-06 indie tunes 🎸. Only con is that there is limited seating.

Pros: Tasty treats, Choice, Staff & Atmosphere

Cons: Limited seating

A jewel in a place that’s difficult for vegans.

It’s very difficult to find somewhere decent to eat in Whitby but, Mr Cooper’s Coffee House seems to be switched on to veganism. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there were clearly marked vegan options and some nice choices. Service was lightening quick, atmosphere was warm with quality indie tunes on the radio. And the cakes f*** me they were amazing.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Friendly staff/warm atmosphere, The cakes/croissants 😍

Cons: They get busy, Not much seating, The toilet was a bit untidy

Amazing bagel

I had the Persian bagel, which had falafel, a house slaw, homemade carrot and chilli jam, and mixed leaves. The nicest bagel I've ever had. I also got an apple and blackberry crumblejack. Flapjack on the bottom and crumble topping. So tasty! Cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. However, the only downside is they charge around £2 extra to sit in vs takeaway.

Pros: Amazing bagel, Lots of vegan cake options, Friendly staff

Cons: Charge extra to sit in

Hi Sarah, if you read the menu, the extra charge that you have stated to sit in, is because sitting in your get a beautiful side salad with berries and stuff. The take away is the bagel only.

Top Bagel!

Lovely, tasty lunchtime meal at this cosy coffee house. Great selection of vegan options and will definitely return next time I’m in Whitby.

Had an excellent falafel bagel with amazing salad and dressing. Didn’t have any dessert but noticed vegan cake options on display at the counter.

Pros: Great food, Great vegan options, Friendly, helpful staff

Cons: Not loads of space inside (but can do takeaway)

Great selection of vegan cakes and bakes.

There were at least 6 different vegan options when I went.

We got the monster biscoff cake which was unreal!

And the apple pie stuffed cookie - unfortunately this was disappointing and tasted very strongly of baking powder, I should have sent it back but didn't in the end.

Pros: Loads of vegan options, Vegan biscoff cake, Outdoor seating

Cons: Stuffed cookie tasted like baking powder, Very busy

Loved it here!

Such a wonderful little place. Would have visited more than once if time permitted!

Lots of vegan options for food and also cakes. Too much choice some may say!

I had a latte with oat milk and syrup. The only syrup options seemed to be sugar free and would have preferred original but the coffee was still good! Chose a Biscoff bun as Biscoff is my favourite!
