Fun and tasty vegan fast food! - Edit
Went here for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. They had a BOGO sale going on so had an extra meal for later😋I’m not the biggest fan of places like this regularly but for what it’s worth I’d say worth a stop especially for visitors. Who doesn’t like vegan junk food every once in a while?

Bad choice of mock meats, I wish they'd offer Gardein - Edit
The Impossible burger and the Tindle patties are disgusting in my honest opinion. I wish they'd offer a Gardein option and Boca for the chicken. Great concept but not great choice of mock meats.

I was excited to try this place and it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. My fries came out lukewarm at best, and although the place was not busy at all, several of the tables were dirty and needed wiped down.
Read moreI will say, it hit the spot as far as satisfying a very nostalgic craving. The Mr. Chuck Jr. tasted just like a Big Mac and was the redeeming quality of my visit.
Theming is fun, I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Such a funny place, right across from McD's and looking very similar in both branding and menu options, BUT ITS FULLY VEGAN! I liked the "cheeseburger" and the "nuggets". Fries were fine too but not my fav style (shoestring?). Staff was sooooo friendly.

Vegan McDonald's. We've gotten the not a cheeseburger, double not, mr sunday, not chicken nuggets, frowny fries, mr fluffhead, and all of the sauces. I dont remember my fave sauces but some are good and some are not (for me at least). My fave: mr sunday and fries. My boyfriend's fave: not a cheeseburger and fries. He said "it tasted way better when I was drunk. I devoured it". I love it though. There are no restrooms for paying customers which I dislike. My mom and I had to run down the street, into a hotel, and sneak into their closed bar to find a bathroom lol.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while. I've had other fast-food imitation vegan food at other establishments and wasn't overly impressed with this place. Good to try once or if it's your only option.
Read moreOrder at kiosk, then your name is called. Food came out reasonably fast, under 7 minutes. Due to the artistic aesthetic of mimicking another famous food establishment, it too retains that cold feeling inside while dining. Echoing and very synthetic feeling. After 30 minutes I was getting anxious and wanted out. Also, no restrooms even for paying guests, not sure how that lines up with any kind of city/county code.
Ordered the Mr.Rack and Not a Chicken Sandwich along with fries and a drink. Overall pricing is reasonable. The sandwiches were good, preferring the Mr.Rack and fries were as expected.

This place rocks, especially if you grew up on happy meals. Truly yummy burgers, and fun vibe. I got the impression they weren’t doing too well because some menu items were missing (nuggets, and i wanted the kids meal for nostalgia reasons but didn’t see it in the ordering system) and the dining room was in a mild state of disrepair (scuffed/marked/missing art) but still a really great place for a burger with a super nice staff, too! Would looooove to see this come to Chicago!!

The food at Mr. Charlie's was delicious. My favorite was the Mr. Chuck Big Mac dupe, followed by the flavorful Mr. Royale with cheese. I also enjoyed the Not a Chicken Sandwich and the crispy chicken nuggets. A special shout-out to the fries that perfectly complemented every bite.

Exactly what you’d expect from a vegan version of McDonald’s - Edit
I got the cheeseburger and tater tots, and everything tasted exactly like normal fast food! I stopped eating at McD’s 20 years ago so this was like stepping into the past for me. Definitely cool for the novelty of a vegan fast food joint, but I probably won’t eat here again just because there’s so many more unique vegan restaurants in the area. It was a cool experience though and it’s worth it to visit at least once.
