I ordered the N.o.B frowny meal which included a burger with one chicken and one beef patty, fries, chicken nuggets, sauce, and a drink. It was delicious and good value.

I took my son here, who was set against plant-based meat, and he was satisfied and pleased. The chips are thin and salty like one would expect from a similarly-themed restaurant. The burgers were nice.

Fries were hot, fresh and delicious just like maccas but better! Burger was really good as well. Wouldn’t bother with nuggs next time.
Funky but small, very casual interior to dine in.
Pretty expensive at $33 but worth it after you’ve just ran a marathon!

Partner ordered a big mista frowny meal and loved the burger! 🍔 it was uber delivered so the chips were a bit soggy but she said everything tasted delicious and she’d go again if she’s craving fast food.

Although the burger was not a 100% replica of the original Macca’s cheeseburger, it was very close and more importantly I was very impressed with the saucy flavours in the burger! I will definitely be back to eat that again. The fries were also pretty spot on. The nuggets were also pretty good. Only downside is that the size of the side sauces are minuscule and you need to pay for them, and of course the price of the food in general is a bit steep for “junk” food; anyhow, I understand prices for everything these days has increased, so it’s not a necessary deterrent for me.

Cool,clean and bright shop. The food was delicious and the service was great. I love the fact that it is a Vegan cruelty free version of Maccas. It shows the vegans don’t have to miss out.

The best novelty to head to Mr.Charlies haven’t eaten McDonald’s in well over 15 years but from what I remember Mr. Charlies tastes exactly the same. The sauce, the pickles, the bun… all of it.

I don't even remember if I've ever had a McDonald's cheeseburger but Mr Charlie's is delicious! Soft bun, freshly cooked patty, and the pickles were good with the ketchup and mustard.

The nuggets strangely had a fishy taste, but a great texture.
The fries didn't have any salt sadly, but we had the white sauce (sweet mayo) and green sauce (slight jalapeno, not very spicy) for dipping.
I didn't know they had 98c burger Mondays! When we went Monday of this week the server said it was buy one get one free burger.

Great place to go if you are craving true fast food style burgers, nuggets and chips - all vegan! This is probably the most convincing substitute for standard fast food places as the decor and name suggests, go for the McFrowny meal for the true experience! Well worth checking out.

I LOVED it here! I've never been a big eater of burgers but occasionally I take a notion and I ordered their 'chicken' burger which was amazing! I really loved that there was so many dips to choose from to go with your fries. I would definitely go back here. I do love their boxes too.

On our way back to the airport, we stopped by Mr Charlie's just by Redfern Station. Myself and my friend were so excited to try some vegan McDonalds that we hadn't had in over 8 years (other than a hashbrown inside a hamburger!).
Read moreI went for the 'Not a Cheeseburger Frowny Meal' ($25.90) with the Green and Chipotle sauces. It was just like how I remembered, but better quality! The nuggets with the green sauce are a must try! However, it was quite pricey.
Unfortunately we had to wait over 25 minutes for our meals, the staff were very apologetic but something to keep in mind if you're in a rush.
I can't wait to visit again when I'm next in Sydney!
Pros: Just like the McDonald's you remember

Cute interior. I had a cheeseburger and nuggets. They both tasted just like McDonald's. The burger had a bit nicer and loads of sauce. The nuggets were lovely and crispy.

Don't expect any more or less than a city McDonald's and you won't be disappointed.
However the prices compared to the meal, was disappointing.
Paying that sort of money id expect to sit down with table service.
it wasn't the "cheap" fast food I was prepared to pay for.
But I had to try it.
And to be fair, my double Burger was exactly how I'd have wanted it.

A frowny meal not to die for! - Edit
Take note the opening hours are now 11.11am to 9.09pm daily. Finally get to try Mr. Charlie’s! Enjoyed a animal free meal. Nothing stood out about the service but the food oh wow no animals to die for! The cheese melts. Love it!
