Great stop for Vegan - Edit
Their vegan dishes are pricey because they charge six dollars just to add tempeh, but they are good. The vegan chocolate cake is delicious. It would be nice if they would not charge such an outrageous amount for tempeh so perhaps management can reevaluate it’s sticking these prices to their vegan customers.

Creative vegan options - Edit
The vegan options are delicious, portions are big and you get your money’s worth. Sometimes they have a vegan coconut chocolate cake which is probably the best vegan cake I’ve ever had!

Best meal and cocktail! - Edit
This was one of the best meals I have had in a while. At first look I thought it was a chain but it’s not and they change their menu every few months. Although there are a few vegan options on the main menu be
Read moreSure to ask for the separate vegan or gluten free menus. I had the vegan bowl with tempeh and the pumpkin hummus app. I also urge you to try one of their fancy cocktails. I immediately ordered a dirty martini and the server convinced me to try a chai martini and my husband got a rosemary and bourbon drink. Literally the best I have ever had.

delicious - Edit
there's a few vegan options, I tried the vegetable plate and it was so good. They're really eco conscious and they distill their own water. For not being a vegan restaurant, the vegan food was great and I'll definitely be going back. Also, the french fries are absurdly delicious lol

Highly recommend - Edit
Great service, separate vegan/vegetarian menu with several offerings. BBQ Tempeh is always available but I would like to see some tofu options in the future.

Decent locale - Edit
Moxie is better for meat and dairy eaters. Has vegan menu and some ok stuff, but its an after thought. they only have it to satisfy the vegans that are out with meat eater friends. this place would really kick ass if they kicked the meat and dairy and went all vegan like Ethos in Orlando. the first full service vegan place in jax!...maybe one day, but not now

A Little Pricey But the Food was Good - Edit
We ate here for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed our lunch on the patio. The service was super fast and the waitstaff friendly.
Read moreThere is a separate vegan menu but you need to ask for it. The menu changes frequently and the one we were given was different than the menu on their website.
I ordered the Veggie Plate that had broccoli, Brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash. The veggies were grilled and had a balsamic glaze with almonds that was very tasty.
My meal was very good but it needed a little something else like rice or potatoes. The veggie plate was $13.
My husband had the tempeh, lettuce and tomato sandwich served on a nice crusty bread and a side of fries. He said it was good and it did look yummy. He said it was very filling. The sandwich was $12.50
Even though we drank water our meal not including tip was $27.29 which I think is a bit much. But the food was good and the service fast and friendly.
Pros: Lots of Vegan dishes, Tasty food, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Pricey

Disappointing food, nice service - Edit
My partner and I came for brunch, it was a limited menu but the server was very accommodating. We were excited to try their tempeh entree, lemon thyme fries, toast, squash soup and winter salad. After a half an hr waiting, our meal came out all at once. The toast, the fries and the squash soup were good. The $17 tempeh was cold, and the $9 winter salad was tiny with a few shreds of carrot and radish and the lettuce was wilted and old. It seemed other people around us were having issues with the food there too. They were very kind in taking the food off the bill. Maybe their vegan menu is better during the week but it seems they have some work to do because the quality of food did not match the price we would've paid.

great tempeh - Edit
I am a big fan of tempeh, and was pleasantly surprised to find this on the menu. Sure, it was overpriced, but it was delicious I was glad to see it on the menu. I didn't know about their separate vegan menu- I'll have to check it out next time.

Many often don't know that Moxie has a whole vegan menu that you can order from. You just have to ask for it!
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by how many options they have for the vegan menu. Plenty of options and it changes seasonally. So you never have the same thing twice.
The ambiance is nice and comfortable. The decor has that modern yet retro feel. The servers were friendly and we got our food at an appropriate time.
Pros: vegan menu
Cons: vegan menu not advertised

Disappointing - Edit
I was very excited and looking forward to having dinner at Moxie Kitchen and Cocktails. Especially after a raving review from a store clerk. However, after my dining experience, I now believe the store clerk was not a true vegan because I know that I won't be going back anytime soon. Is it too much to ask that wait staff are knowledgeable? The food wasn’t really that bad, a bit pricey and I mean pricy. Almost like a high-end restaurant when they clearly are not.

cool vibe, good food - Edit
I was in Jacksonville for a few days and seeking vegan options and came across a post about Moxie. Sounded cool so I gave it a try. It's a very chic spot, good for dates or a girls night out. Really liked the vibe. Staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. I asked for the vegan menu and was pleased with the selection of choices - several appetizers and sides, and 3 different main dishes. I ordered the tofu dish and was pleased but it was very salty. I also ordered a signature soda which was tasty and refreshing. Definitely would recommend!
