Oasis in a flood of fast food

Friendly staff, clearly labeled vegan options, but only a few. Pulled pork jackfruit was super tasty, so were the sweet potato fries. Served with a side of ranch that I don’t think was vegan but I didn’t ask.
A little pricey but not anything crazy. Especially considering there’s a saturation of cheap fast food in the area, it’s worth the extra price.

Pros: Clearly labeled veg options, Bomb sweet potato fries

Cons: Giant building, like a warehouse

Lots of choices and a breakfast buffet!

The salads are my favorite! They also have lots of other vegan options. The vegan pulled pork with coleslaw is tasty! The breakfast buffet even has soyrizo! The black bean burger and veggie tacos are also delicious! I still have lots more to try!

Pros: Friendly service, Lots of options, Fresh and healthy

A gem for the area

Santa Maria does not have a lot of truly health conscious restaurants. MOXIE Cafe is a stand out in the area in that it's first concern is the health of its patrons. With many veggie/vegan options, it also supports these lifestyles in a way that few do in Santa Maria.

Pros: delicious food, beautiful patio seating, live music Thursday-Saturday nights!

Cons: hard to find if coming from the freeway

Many options

The Moxie Café is a great place to enjoy a healthy meal that is either vegetarian or vegan. Fresh ingredients, local fruits and vegetables make this restaurant top notch for healthy eating. Their vegan pulled 'pork' sandwich is amazing, along with their roasted veggie salad. Definitely something worth coming over and trying. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: Lots of options, Good value for the price, Great outdoor seating

Great alternative for healthy eating!

I love going to Moxie! They have a vast array of salads, sandwiches, and other entrees. I have the option of eating a hearty salad that is packed with protein as an alternative to their turkey burgers and chicken sandwiches. I highly recommend going to see for yourself!

Pros: Large menu to choose from, Healthy ingredients, Large sitting areas for families or groups

Cons: Slightly more expensive than other places, Only coffee, lemonade, tea and water available

Great wholesome offerings!

The Moxie Cafe is a unique, 100% employee owned cafe that is associated with Hardy Diagnostics. They offer many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not only that, but free live entertainment is presented every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Early bird specials, Happy Hour, and senior discounts make the go to place in Santa Maria!

Pros: Many veg options - all house-made, Very health conscious. Dressings made w/ Olive Oil, Live entertainment around the fireplace

Cons: Off the beaten track on McCoy Lane, No soda fountain, but that's a good thing!
