Good vegan options in a cozy restaurant

Mowgli offers a separate vegan menu and the staff is knowledgeable about vegan meals. It’s a little bit pricey contemplating the size of the meals, but the food is tasty and enough for a little dinner. The restaurant had a clean, cozy atmosphere with lovely little lights.

Tasty but not the tastiest

Good vegan options. Lovely ambience. Always very busy though, and loud. Selection of drinks could be better. Staff not the best, not very attentive and just rushed off their feet. Been to better Mowgli’s before, Preston could learn a thing or two from other restaurants.

Pros: Food, Swing, Lights

Cons: Staff, Noise , Limited beer options

Many vegan options

A lot of options for vegans and tasty. A bit spicy for me but the flavours were great!

Vegan menu big plus but food okay

First up, there is a separate vegan menu with quite a few choices which is a definite plus.

I had Dahl and rice and to be honest was pretty underwhelmed. There was no spice or nuance to the Dahl and I make far better myself. Also felt the portion sizes were small and left feeling hungry.

The decor is nice but we had a tree right through the middle of the table which made it hard to talk to other guests and maintain eye contact.

The cocktails were nice but I wouldn't be rushing back.

Pros: Vegan menu, Plenty of choices

Cons: Unexciting bland food, Small portions

Bit disappointing

I was a little bit disappointed to be honest. I had expected a lot hearing lots of hype about Mowgli's. On the plus side, they had quite a few vegan options, but I didn't find them very imaginative.or exciting. I had the Mung dhal with rhubarb and ginger, which tasted ok but a bit bland. And the darjeeling steeped chickpeas which were nothing special. I also tried the chip butty which I found a bit dry. It could have done with a bit of vegan yoghurt dip or something. Portions were ok for the price. Generally the flavours were nothing special, I have definitely had better elsewhere. Probably wouldn't go again.

Service was ok, ambience quite nice but very loud.

Ok

Some good veggie options and seperate vegan menu available - tasty but very busy and “chain feel” to the place - far worse out there but will go independent next time

Pros: Good veggie options, Clear menu

Cons: Busy

Nice if you’re not a fan of hot

I had my second visit here with hubby on a Saturday night. They managed to squeeze us in which was great, but nowhere to sit and have a drink while waiting. We had to leave and go to a bar down the road.
There is a separate vegan menu which is always a plus. We had the tiffin plate (the chef chooses 3 curries and it comes with a rice) the ‘chip butty’ (served in a paratha, not bread), a potato and chick pea curry and an extra rice. All very nice, but not as spicy as we prefer.
As a side note, a lot of the tables have swings as seats. All very nice, but there is nowhere to hang your coat and no separate cloakroom.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Nowhere to have a drink while waiting , Nowhere to hang coats. , Not spicy
