Good vegan options - Edit
Glad I found this on HappyCow because it is one of the best options in the Incline Village area. My partner and I were excited to see the options on the website but were disappointed to find some items were only winter seasonal items that had not been updated (we’re here in June), like vegan chili and a mac n cheese bake. They were out of soup for the day (I went an hour til closing). We had the tempeh reuben and bbq tofu sandwiches, which were good. Saving 2 breakfast burritos for tomorrow morning (assume they are equally tasty if I don’t come back to update this review!).

Wonderful vegan and gluten free options. Cute place, super friendly staff. Will definitely be returning. Ordered the oatmeal and the vegan breakfast sandwich. The baked goods are vegan and they have GF options as well.

as a mostly vegan vegetarian in a family of omnivores, finding a place everyone loves is so hard, and i’ll admit, i liked this place more than them. BUT for once we both had the same amount of options!!! their marinated tempeh was INCREDIBLE and the veggies were so fresh, i have yet to try the smoked tofu but i’ve heard great things about it. you can get a sandwich on a variety of breads, a wrap, or a salad, and they have tons of options for sauces and dips. the thing i love is that everything is customizable as it’s made to order, so you can truly get whatever you want!!

also they have a stocked fridge w kombuchas and olipops… so yeah definitely check it out!!
Pros: everything’s customizable, two veg protein options plus an all veg option, focus on sustainability + friendly staff
Cons: not a very big serving of protein, too much hummus in my salad (can ask for less!)

Good spot - Edit
There’s not much vegan choices in northern Tahoe and quite frankly for much of the entirety of Tahoe. Rest assured this spot is a solid choice with some dedicated vegan options for breakfast and lunch. I had the harmony wrap which was good but I was still hungry since I just finished a hike nearby. I would recommend ordering it with the tofu and maybe a side dish if you have an appetite.

Great Sandwiches and Kombucha - Edit
This place has plenty of clearly labeled vegan options. I had the "All About Avocado" sandwich with cashew cheddar (replacing jack cheese), which was delicious, fresh, and satisfying. They also offer tofu, but sadly they were out when I went (I was temporarily disappointed but my avocado sandwich was so good I promptly forgot about it). I also got their house kombucha (it was jasmine flower on that particular day), which was refreshing, bubbly, and just the right amount of sweet. They also had some vegan grab-and-go type stuff (pudding, bars) which I'd like to try next time. I don't live nearby but I definitely will be back during my next Tahoe trip!

There menu is about quarter vegan and a half vegetarian. the vegetarian stuff can easily be made vegan. For how few options there are in the area very good choice.

This place has some solid vegan options. I really enjoyed my BBQ tofu sandwich. They have a lot of vegan sauces and plant-based proteins. Def a solid option in the north Tahoe area, which is pretty limited still when it comes to vegan options

Becareful when Ordering Check Double Check and Triple Check - Edit
My husband and I went biking on the Tahoe East Shore Trail today and I saw the Mountain High sandwich shop on Happy Cow. I saw they seemed to understand vegan and had vegan options. My husband isn't vegan so he wanted the vegetarian Ruben, I'm vegan so I ordered a vegan Ruben. I ordered one of each but when they brought the sandwiches I asked the guy from the restaurant that we ordered one vegan and one vegetarian. He said they were both vegan. We said that was okay my husband will eat a vegan one. The vegan one was suppose to have a cashew cheese instead of Swiss cheese. When I ate the sandwich I was shocked that the vegan cheese was stringy. Unfortunately after eating it I talked to a 3rd employee and asked her if the cashew cheese was stringy and she said no and that I had eaten a vegetarian Ruben not a vegan one. On top of that they didn't even apologize. I haven't eaten Dairy in years. I hope I don't any GI problems from it. I just can't believe how they messed up and didn't even care on top of it.

Absolutely amazing vegan food. They have many vegan options. I got the vegan Reuben, and my mind was blown! Absolutely fantastic. I also got the vegan chocolate mousse, which was okay but overpriced for the amount and taste. I personally wouldn’t get it again. But, their Reuben sandwich was so amazing, I might sometimes make the drive from Reno just to eat here!! So delicious. Also, they avoid plastic as much as they can, and give you compostable silverware. It doesn’t get much better than this place!

Cute sandwich shop near Lake Tahoe with lots of vegan options. Both made to order sandwiches and ready made options in the cooler. Staff are friendly and upbeat. Fun decor with Grateful Dead and other music records and posters on the wall.

Super adorable place and food is amazing. I had the bbq tempeh sandwich and vegan chocolate pudding for desert. Pretty reasonably priced and you can ask for samples on soup. You can get bottled drinks and chips. Seating is nice and staff is friendly.

husband and I had the vegan breakfast burritos. they were SO delicious!!! and huge!!! the staff was incredibly friendly. almost everything is organic. they had vegan sour cream!!! super excited to come back and try something else.

Ok so I am so excited to write them a review. I ordered a vegan sandwich and a soup. It was very taster! They also have vegan muffins and chocolate mousse🤩 So for me, the fact that they offer ‘make your own sandwich’ really allows you the availability to order due to your dietary needs. The staff is really nice. Customer care is great. They also have outdoor seating. The music selection is pretty groovy. We’ll be back tomorrow for they also have vegan breakfast sandwiches. 🤗You won’t be disappointed.

The sesame ginger broccoli puréed soup is amazing. I also had the Harmony Wrap on a gluten free tortilla. The tortilla was made from teff. After my trip, I looked up the tortilla on Tortilla Factory's website and found that the company makes two kinds of gluten free teff tortillas: the non-GMO ones have honey; the Sonoma all natural ones have corn syrup solids and corn starch, which I believe are genetically modified. The Sonoma teff tortillas also have honey. I wish there was another gluten free tortilla they could use. I had the avocado chocolate mousse for dessert.

My family has been visiting Incline annually for the past 34 years, so when I found Mountain High, I was thrilled. Great restaurants with well-crafted and creative vegan options are still rare up here. The sandwiches are generous in size, delicious desserts (check out the creamy vegan pudding!), nice drink selection. My non-vegan family members are always happy here as well.

We are traveling through the Lake Tahoe area and saw this little gem on happy cow. I am vegan and he is omni and we were both pleased! I had the harmony wrap and quinoa salad and both were great! We both stuffed ourselves on 20 bucks! Great peaceful location , friendly service, and a lovely outdoor seating area. Worth the drive to Incline Beach!
